What's your favorite tank for the new frontline mode peeps?

I'm quite liking the Patriot, FV4202 and for some weird reason the AMX CdA 105. :D

CDA 105 excells in FL due to the insane camo values, loving it

hmm Hard Question.

I'm enjoying the 54 Prot Mod 1, Primo Vic and the FV4202 in this mode. Yesterday I tried the T26E5 (none Patriot) and found a new appreciation for the tank

Also the WZ 120 TD got a lot of play time... Both in attack and defence.

It's also got that fat 260 standard pen, or 310 heat. xD

And APCR standard rounds. I got 13k combined damage in it yesterday without dying, it was mental.

WZ 132

Already a great tank, love it even more in FL. Sadly, the grind is done and after the event the crew will be driving the WZ 132A, but I'm thinking about keeping the WZ 132 and switch the crew back when FL returns someday.

(to be fair, I only have 6 T8s, rentals excluded, so there's most likely a better tanks out there)

WZ 132 is a nice all rounder, love the IX though. X is underwhelming but still fun.

However I can't personally see lights (with the exception of maybe Bulldog GF) being fun in a mode dominated by medium tanks  just my opinion of course ;)

If I have non-camper team and they spot, I like Strv S1 very much. WZ 120 TD and other high alpha tanks

LOL non camper team when you're playing the campiest tank ever.

Logic.

Until you slip through their lines and farm the turrets for 3600 before you get caught ;)

Maybe, but I can do that in the Spaghetto and still have the HitPoints to run away ;)

If you really want to annoy the enemy team the perfect timing for it is when your team wins the cap point on either D or F but is still struggling on the beach with the 2 other lanes. Then you can cross over to the opposite corner of the map - Turret 5 if you team has won A & D and anyone willing to stop you has to either spawn at Turret 1 or drive all the way back from B or C.

My skorpion g is cursed in FL...can't hit anything at all, even afk players...

My CDA 105 however hits like a laser...

Mod 1 rules in FL. You have speed, VR and you have enough armor to bounce all the Spagetti/T44 FL bots.

Sorry, but you don't have any logic. When I say non-camper team I mean those tanks who are not supposed to camp, like meds, heavies and lights. No offense, but I wonder if you can get my point. I also wonder why have you got triggered by my comment. Are you also a camper med, heavy or light?

And... By your 'logic' no one should play tds as long as they wish their team wasn't a camper one. It is all about tank roles... Do you get it?

KV-4 for me. It has the armor & HP to withstand alot of punishment; great for capping in riskier situations & for defending against superior numbers. Also, the speed advantage compared to other heavy armored tanks shows on FL. Once at top-speed, it goes quite fast (35km/h) and the enginepower means that you aren't slowed down by uneven terrain (unless too steep ofc).

Hilarity ensues when an enemy thinks cutting you off is a good idea. Choo-Choo bastards, KV-4 train comin' through.

It also makes for a great distraction. Stays alive long enough that enemies come & check out my tank while teammates attack the other flank.

Only drawback is that it heavily relies on teammates for spotting, with 350 base viewrange, it is one blind rhino. At least it comes with awesome radio-range: +- 1.100 meters (thanks to skills) so your spotting will never go lost to others, even when cut off from the team.

Second favorite is the Pilot 25, love to employ that mobility & be a pain hulldown.

So all mediums should be frontline to allow your td to camp in the corner of the map yes?

No offense, but trying to be condecending to someone who is better than you just makes you look silly.

It depends on the phase of the game and how your team is doing for me.

I always start with the Pantera/Progetto as it's flexible in attack or defence.

If I die in that tank and we're pushing well in attack I might go to the Blackdog/T92. If we're struggling to push I'll take the Scorp G. If we're defending then it's always the Scorp G.

In the latter phase of attack or defence I'm back to the Progetto, Scorp G, Defender, and sometimes the Type 59 depending on the situation.
