It's all in the poll. :great: Basically, what type of gun is your favorite, the one you are most comfortable with and have the most fun using?

I was just curious. :hiding: Go on.

Well I voted SPG because I have the most fun with this class, perhaps others don't but I do. Yes selfish I know....:)

Sadly missing the "well-rounded" option or I would've picked that. High alpha is nice but if you don't do damage with the shot the consequences are significant, rapid fire is nice but if your alpha is low you may get only one shot in before the enemy takes cover. Something in between plox.

I have the 57mm/6pdr fitted to many of my tanks at tier IV and V. Three of my best performers are the Alecto, Lago and Ke-Ho at tier IV and Crusader at tier V.

The rapid fire and almost-certain penetration (at least at the sides and rear) of most things it meets means great performance. The rapid fire once allowed me to perma-track and blind kill three if not four tanks in one battle.

High alpha gun are my favourite. Especially if combined with good pen. Actually, alpha can be even avarage if pen is good.

Some of my favourite gun are:

107mm Zis8 from T-150 (high alpha + good pen)

107 Zis32 from KV-4 (avarage alpha but really good pen)

122mm M62T2 from ST-I (avrage alpha but good pen)

152mm BL-10 from 704 (high alpha and high pen)

Where the Zis8 And BL-10 are the one I enjoy more, because can destroy a same tier tank in 3 shot.

I like derpgun too, but just on some platfrorm, namely tier 5 MTs and KV-2. Think I would enjoy T49 too, but chaffee is so bad I can't stand the grind... :(

Alright, take it like this then; 90-100mm and below are rapid-firing low caliber guns, and anything above it are high alpha, high caliber guns. Because as you know, 105mm guns can have up to 390 alpha on higher tier tanks. Hard to put those in the same group, so I simplified the choices. I'm assuming you'd go for Soviet 100mm (320 alpha) guns or something of the sort?

Just group the middle ground with 90-100mm guns.

I would actually love to pick two or three answers,

high-accuracy guns are quite fun, as is for example derping around with a KV-2 or similar.

 - and then there are autoloading LT's

I simply can't decide which is more fun.

I've got no idea about caliber values, I just play the game :D. So no, I don't actually know about 105mm guns. Beyond overmatch mechanics which I seldomly get to make use of, I don't care what the caliber is, I just care how much boom it does on penetration. Anyways I'd cast my vote already :-).

I kind of like all of them. The ones that i played as i can't really say anything about the reloading system.

But i suppose that high alpha with somewhat decent penetration and accuracy/aim time is what i feel most comfortable with. Of course it depends on the platform too. So with either some armor and hitpoints or stealth and mobility. Either way i have a easier time when i can win trades through alpha than relying on dpm.

Well, I've found the peashooters the hardest to master for me. It's just so dangerous to stay exposed. Autoloaders are something that sometimes work but you sometimes also fail with them like with no other type. Most consistent I think is high alpha, or at least high-ish.

Progetto is funky though. Very flexible most of the time.

while 107 are great. (t150 alpha, and kv4 gun handling, acc i pen. also APCR is brutal)

STI 122mm is awful. dont tell anyone you like it.

if you like the pen of the gun, go T10. T10 has godlike HT gun.

Yep, T-10 has better DPM and gun handling but lack a very important thing: armour. The 122mm on ST-I is sure raw and unconfortable, but the good armour layout of the tank compensate for it especially on short range engagements.

Slowly I will get the T-10 too, because it's a well known heavyum and want to try it, but considering my performances on IS-3 I'm probably not ready to play T-10...

T10 is better tier for tier.

I like STI too. had great stats in it. (something like 3200 avg dmg and 70% wnirate)... but gun is horrible. you aim for 4 days.
