Have no problem with rocks, tbh...

Are you sure you don't have a moron friend that is hitting you? It happens more frequently in my experience...

Rock physics are a big issue since the HD changes to maps, I've created a thread on this a while ago calling them "Wet Soapstone Physics" which is how your tank behaves if so much as 1mm of track dares touch any form of rock in this game now.

Last week I was playing my KV-2® on mines on top of the hill and tried to shoot down but I managed to touch rocks so my tank just slid off the hill even though I was almost on level ground. Not possible to reverse or steer, just glide away, GLIDE LITTLE TANK!!!11!1

Ya they slip a lot some times they throw your tank at the back so much that u can't turn your tank or drive.Causes lot of trouble if u want to get depression.

Yeh, I understood it from you OP. They give no problem to me.

Wich tanks are you using when this happens? Maybe the track dimesion compared to the rock have some effects on the stability...

That is actually strange... all thise tanks have quite big tracks. I expected something like AMX 12t or a german light tank like the Pzwagen... pretty curious about it now!

Yeah, physics engine was always a bit wonky since the handbrake patch, but 1.0 has made things even worse. Managed to flip my 263 several times when attempting to use rocks as cover after the map changes in 1.0. Which feels quite horrible when you're a top-tier super-heavy and loosing your tank in the early game to such nonsense.

The problem is that as soon as even a part of your tank stands on a rock you loose all traction and therefore control, so even micro-adjustments can cause huge problems. Turretless TDs are a bit more affected as they have to maneuver in specific ways so it's harder for them to avoid the rocks completely.

The physics changes introduced with the handbrake patch back then are still near the top on my "worst-change-ever" list for WoT.

Just overturned my 1390 on a...well, i dunno. Probably a 2 pixel elevation on mines map. Just another in 10000 cases of completely idiotic crap physics since 1.0 landed.

Keep up the good work WG !

substitute the r in rocks with a c and that post still kind of makes sense.

edit: sry, I must try and remember to put my glasses on now before reading posts.  I keep seeing things that aren't there
