The maps are located @ World_of_Tanks_closed_Beta\res\maps\landscape\01_Karelia\Color_Tex.dds

These are high res converted images. They look a bit weird, but I guess this is the ultimate "view from above".

Smaller maps that we are more used to seeing in the game. They are located @World_of_Tanks_closed_Beta\res\gui\maps\icons\map

I think that's what they said aerial strike... It is a MMO afterall :D They have big plans for the game.

i mean the tank to be drop from airplane or if its map near sea they can be drop from ship

just to know, how big are the maps in "ingame meters" and what size does the minimap grid have?

current maps are 1kmx1km. you can figure out the grid from that :)

Might need some coding but why not have a parachute drop or rolling off a landing ship. People might complain about realism though.

Cant wait for Stukas and Shturmoviks dive bombing tanks.

hey,

big thx for uploading!! is there any chance to get the smaller maps u have uploaded a lil bit bigger? like 1000x1000px?
because the smaller ones are more detailled and you can see the houses and so on... they would be much better for planning tactics then the big ones :-)

This reminds me so much of one of my alltime favorite ww2 games Close combat looking at them they seem taken right out of CC :)
