3 weak bots thats all that would be needed .

I'd be interested to see what would happen if, during the countdown, someone posted a chat saying 'All press F5 to prove you're not a bot'.

If everyone did, and we still lost 15-4, that may disprove the 'bots on our team theory. But would it then indicate superior bots on the red team?

Of course you may masturbate if you wish, but whether you can is a question that only you can answer!  :)

Not possible in my case - too busy looking for the "2" key!  But there again, I've been called a bot so many times, that I now believe I

am one. So QED I suppose!   :sceptic:

yesterday in at least 3 matches that i remember there were at least 2 tanks that did not move at all during the game.

coincidence?

ok i guess you can believe that in one match there were 2 people that either had their connections drop or had too many mods installed that their game stuck at the battle info screen .

but 3 matches? within the hour?

I blame the community. War Gaming are in no way responsible for training the player base, that's the responsibility of the player base itself.

And there are more than enough resources available for the player base by the player base that not being good at the game is predominantly the fault of the individual player.

Me? I win more than I lose, and I always have no matter what server I play on. Since I'm not happy with the paltry win ratio I have I still work to improve my skills so I can be better at this game this week as compared to last week.

The shame of it all is even with a lame win ratio like mine, I'm still better at this game than the majority of everybody else who plays World of Tanks.

It's ridiculous to think you're a bot. There's no way a bot would use a selfie as an avatar. :)

Yes, but WG could do a LOT more to improve the situation. It's their falt that we have so many botlike players in the higher tiers because everyone is allowed to just rush the tiers in no time. There is no progress ystem and thus no incentive to learn. Besides that, name some of those "ressources" that are available directly in the game or that get directly advertised in the game.

A change of approach.

Let me first put the following in some sort of context.

I am an old(ish) man, I have lived a long and varied life and have learnt a thing or two. Yes, everyone else is entitled to an opinion, and because I am a 'people person' i will even give contrary views considerable thought (not really), but I'm your surrogate Dad, so you would do well to listen and learn my son.

And now, after removing my tongue from my cheek and reminding those of younger years that that means the above should not be taken seriously, it's just your Dad's warped sense of humour, I will deliver the Gospel according to Dits.

To the point then.

I have concluded that the best way to play this game is as follows;

WG have stacked the game against me. It places me in a battle purely and simply to give those 2 or 3 tiers above me something to shoot at. They do not expect me to do well and, in essence, have hard wired a difficulty setting of 'insane'.

With this in mind, I now judge every battle as a victory if I manage to 'do well' in the face of overwhelming odds. If I accumulate spotting damage, and I am a 99.9% LT spotter/scout player, then I have performed my role. If I manage to exceed my own hit-points in damage, I have outplayed WG and their evil intention.

If I manage to destroy a tank in the process, that flys in the face of insurmountable odds. If I receive a Fire for Effect, and this is my primary aim in every game now, then I have 'defeated' a heavily 'manipulated' system.

Using this approach means that unfair MM, bots on my team, bots on their team, unfair penetration values against the armour facing me, idiot team-mates, RNG anomalies, all come under the banner of WG want me to lose so that I might buy a premium tank, gold ammo, etc etc. It's all part of their attempts to make me lose.

Every time I do well, it allows me to stick two fingers up to 'them'.

Try it, you'll be amazed at how much it improves ones enjoyment of the game using this mind-set.

Thank you for reading this post, I really do appreciate that the 60 seconds that you spent has moved you 1 minute closer to your untimely death with little reward. You may feel that the time has been wasted, (Dits places tongue firmly back to his cheek), but if you ignore the advice contained within this post, your surrogate Dad will always be a little disappointed in you.

Basically, play to your own rules, and to your own satisfaction. To do otherwise is to invite failure, frustration and copious amounts of others opinion, which are like aresholes, everyone has one, but some stink worse than others, and even that is dependant on personal viewpoint! ;)

Totally agree. I tried to make the same point earlier, but I lack your linguistic precision. :)

This is indeed the best way to enjoy the game imo. Keep in mind it's a game, everyone has a different skillset & different abilities.

Your advice above of setting achievable goals is a very good one. Helps you both enjoy the game & to improve without overly exerting yourself.

I do it aplenty as well, setting big & small goals. I still aim for a Fire for Effect award, or a spottingbadge or a Shellproof award in my tanks when I play. They're good & achievable goals to go for & help you making you feel good when a game goes bad, because at least you did your part.

I also put out bigger goals, but they tend to be more based on time then effort, like trying to get a certain number of awards or a certain number of games in a favorite tank, but they don't come with time-limits; not gonna stress myself out for a game. they do help me get better as well, as playing more games in a tank teaches you more about the tank's capacities & how to use the map/terrain more effectively.

And the awards? The better I play, the faster they come along :medal:
