Ok, we all know this thread will get closed and moved, but hey, we try.

Why play poor tanks, knowing that +2mm will screw you?

So, my KV3 - nope, fella, you were never a stellar performer, but you were fun. But against tier 9...? Lol, don't be silly. Take the T29, always, maybe that turret will help.

Achilles, oh fella, great dpm - but you cant use it, take Jackson or Hellcat instead. Hit the 2 key, you are still relevant.

Tier 6 med. What? NOT the T34-85M? Eh? Really?

When I enter a battle and see that my input (ok, not v good) will have little affect, I lose interest rapidly.

I play less WoT than ever before.

Do you choose your tanks to play 3-5-7 or just play what you want..???

If you are competent and use your brain you can play whatever you want.

You have to play bad tanks to get past them in the tech tree. Question is, why keep bad tanks?

Yes.

You are right.

If you are a genuinely good player, you can do well in a lot of vehicles.

But most of us are not 'good' players.

Most of us are 'average' at best

And we make up a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge % of the player base

So if you p*ss us off, you 'good' guys can fight each other

Hmm, guess your results won't be quite so good then???

I'll take my Cromwell B over the T-34-85M any day. As I've really not played mine at all since it was a marathon reward tbh.

On grinds you really don't have a choice. But for fun? Well I don't play many tanks for fun due to the MM. My Crom B gets picked as he is versatile even in a +2 game. My Archer really don't care what he aims at. Nor does it affect my 13 90 or even T71. As they were used to from before not being top tier. And I played my Chaffee vs tier X with 126 pen back in the day. I play them because I find them fun, regardless of what they a matched against. It's why I keep them around. So.. more on play what I want tbh.

Then again I get why most ppl hate 3-5-7 or +2. As not all tanks excel vs +2. Or even +1 tbh. I too did hate the KV-3, but not due to the +2 MM. It's was how useless it generally was vs the T29, even as top tier with the old MM. But I never got why most instantly gave up when they see it's +2. And decide they should camp base and do nothing. Even tho all 3 of their +2 targets are on the other side of the map. They will still refuse to move on the other side or even below base vs equal tiers. If it's that bad.. then why play at all?

CoopSJC21,

Ok, fair call. Get that.

So we all play T67, Hellcat, Defender, T26E5..  etc - other 'good' tanks are available??

Balc0ra

Ok, camping 'I give in' idiots acknowledged - but they exist at all ranks and capabilities!!

No, we all play the tank that we're currently playing to move up that particular line, and sometimes go back and play our favourite tanks that we've kept.

No.

We don't

Some of us gather tanks in the garage and go back to play them again.

Well, we used to..............

Sorry, I suppose that's just a variation on a theme ??

It is simply bad play style, I fell out with a certain clan leader who told to do exactly camp in base, no way, I will go to battle even it it is pointless.

Well, maybe it's just time to chose what you want: if you want to have fun, you play fun tanks, if you want to win, you play best tanks.

I don't understand what 3-5-7 has got to do with it...

Fun is only fun if you don't get beaten into the ground twice as often as you win, well, for most people...

I have a number of tanks that I could be grinding, but at the moment they are sitting in the garage waiting for me to decide if I am going to continue that grind.

In the meantime, I am playing the tanks that I enjoy playing. If I'm platooning, it will be the O-I, KV2, Jumbo Sherman ( is there a theme starting here?). If solo, it will likely be Matilda, Matilda BP, Churchill, Wolverine and Hellcat even the SU-85B. Others might get a look in on occassions, but the important thing for me is I should be enjoying my battles, win or lose, they should be enjoyable.

Thats my take on it, everyone has their own ideas.

If you choose your tanks only based on stats, you should buy and play with a sliderule instead. It's a game, so play whatever tank you like - if you know what you are doing, you can contribute with every tank.

btw: Please don't press enter after only a few words.

This explains how to properly use paragraphs: https://en.wikipedia.../wiki/Paragraph

Back when I was horribly bad, I suddenly started caring about my contribution to the team. I started learning and getting better. First I chose strong vehicles that were easy to play and then took what I learned in them and tried to make it work in other vehicles. After playing enough I started to realize what each vehicle is for, what you can do in it and what you cannot.

That's the key I think. After that you can find gems in a lot of places and pretty much make a lot of tanks work for you. If you know their strengths and weaknesses and you are able to use that knowledge to your benefit.

I still suck with Black Prince. And Batchat 25ap. :D

You just suck above tier 5. It's the simple.

All I want is the pre-nerf Chaffee. Then I could thrash every single grind I've made.

I'd pay 40 euros for a pre-nerf Chaffee with +3 MM.

Beats everything WG has thrown so far.
