Has anyone else noticed this bug with arty minimap aiming?

If I'm on a map with obstructions, like buildings, when I hold control key and click on the minimap to move to a new target area, if there is a building in the way, the aiming area goes instead to centre on the building that blocks the aim.  If I hold control key again and click at the desired aim point again, it works, and goes to the new aim point.  If there is no obstruction to the aim point, then the aiming works correctly first time.

I reported the issue to support and got:

"This thing appears because initially you aim at the building and then when you click on the minimap, the gun needs to aim a little higher therefore it takes a while to adjust itself to the correct position. 

No other problem was visible from the recording nevertheless I hope I explained the problem."


So they think that's how it's supposed to work, but it never worked like that the last 5 years, so I don't believe that.

I believe the aim is supposed to go to where you click on the minimap and not to whatever may be in the way, as per the user manual:

Artillery Mode
Artillery mode is available to SPGs only.
To switch to Artillery mode, press LShift.
To exit Artillery mode, press LShift.
To aim the artillery at a square on the minimap, right-click the
required square while holding CTRL. The map will be
aligned so that the selected square is displayed in the center of
the screen.


I just want to see if others are experiencing this problem.

Can't say I have noticed will have a better look later when playing though.
