Hello all,

Finally WG got it!

Frontline is the best fun ever!

It needs a few improvements and to be optimized but the frontline mode is just awesome.

After playing frontline mode, the normal maps look ridiculous and I realize how badly this game has been hold back by normal maps.

Congratulations to WG for bringing us Frontline, now just make it permanent and extend it to other tiers.

Best regards,

R3d

P.S. - After all, it seems +0/-0 MM works great...

I can't stand it.  Idiotic and boring mode.

However, that's just my opinion.  Have fun.

I don't enjoy at all. Games are too long and 95% of the time repeat itself and very predictable. I found it only useful to grind stock tier 8s.

I would like the game mode to become a seasonal stay like Ranked battles. I think we would appreciate it more if it wasn't permanent, that we had something to look forward to for a period of mass battle fun.

...and getting all the levels and prestige rewards again, of course. :hiding:

Are you kidding me? Finally it's fun to play tier 8 again, I mean, except for defenders and VK100.01P you can reliably pen stuff like everyones lfp without gold! It's like pre-2015 all over again!

More I play it the more I like it.  I'm going through to rank 30 a second time to get the excellent Soviet victory camo.  I only play my premiums and run the credit booster server.  I'm rolling in credits and the next couple of Tier X tanks I'll unlock are already paid for..

I would make a snarky comment, but I can't because counting all these credits from Frontline takes up all my time.

I sincerely hope WG understands the full potential of Frontline mode and make it permanent.

I understand that Frontline MM works better during prime time (faster matchups) so I easily accept having the mode available only during prime time (like 4 to 6 hours a day).

I suggest everyone plays at least 1 artillery frontline game and watch the battle in arty-view fully zoomed out. Its so awesome!

Especially watching the last assault to destroy the objectives when formations of tanks assault relentlessly while defenders hold desperately waiting for the time to elapse...

Like he said a good tier 8 grind, but i would guess a skilled player like yourself enjoys the game best when you can carry games to victory?

Frontline mode is mission impossible when it comes to carrying anything, skill means nothing when half your team keeps defending a already destroyed object when a few others scream for help

on the other side.

Frontline mode with its spawns miss THE most important factor of this game, the nervous heartbeating final minutes you get from time to time in a 15v15 normal mode.

How i see it, you end up beating the same dead horse over and over and after a few games it feels like PVE mode. Simply because you play with no possibility to influence the outcome.

You just have to die for that, plus you can see it better.

For my part I suggest that everyone plays at least one scout at the end of the battle, to go hunt arties in the enemy camp. Great fun guaranteed, seeing the arty running and not caring for admiring the awsome arty view of the battle :izmena:

once you've played it a few times it just becomes routine. same bots same "mission". lather, rinse repeat. just make creds.

So you ether boring (frontline) or extreme fustration and anger (random battles). id rather choose boring for my own health.

Well if we have to choose between those then I'd rather not play at all. :P

Frontline is a great improvement over the current state of Tier 8 Randoms (aka, facing broken Tier 10s on small corridor maps). I also consider the format of the Randoms as obsolete since a long time, compared to what you get in WoWS (per example).

It sure ends up being a bit repetitive an long to me, but:
-WR isn't recorded, reducing the saltiness of players (including myself)
-you rank up even in defeat, as long as you performed well. The rewards are pretty nice
-you can respawn so your game isn't wasted if you make a wrong move/get bad RNG
-fewer snowball effects, due to the respawn
-you can switch vehicles/respawn area to adapt to the situation (so you aren't stuck on an urban map in your paper TD)
-there is actually enough room to move and flank, unlike on a lot of Random maps like Paris and Lakeville
-it's actually the most innovative game mode WG has ever introduced, so much better than stuff like Historical Battles and other modes based on the Randoms gameplay

Some balance tweaks, more maps added and duration adjustements could result into something even better. Maybe not a permanent mode, but a seasonnal one (like varying the playable Tier every month) +lessons learned for map design and Randoms objectives.

In frontline mode you remove the frustration from Normal mode, but you also remove the best parts, so you end up with something boring.

Frontline mode made me realize what i love about wot, what keeps me playing year after year, and if if this mode had been the only thing available i would have quit long time ago.

The feeling you get when you are the main reason your team wins is addictive, like drugs, frontline mode does not offer this, its safe, you respawn and win or lose like it doesnt matter.

I agree with your comments.

Your suggestion of having Frontline mode per tier (5 to 10, maybe) per month is a great idea.
