Im really struggling to make a dent into the artillery missions for the camapign. Not only is it hellishly boring to play arty, and morally reprehensible, but I cant seem to find a tank to do the job. So:

Which SPG is the quickest way of nabbing the arty campaign missions with a minimal time spent playing arty?

I tried looking around youtube, but all I found was this hillarious video

Hey man, dont know about the quickest but I am just 1 (the 15th) mission away from the Obj 260.

I have used the German t10, the French t9 and the US t8 .

From some conversations in the forum, I came to the conclusion that the US t9  (yet to be unlocked for me) with the stock gun works best.

Cheers

I just love when people ask for help and then spit in your face by being "funny".

M44 is perfect for 90% of the missions up to OBJ 260

Least arty and perhaps quickest way:

Step 1: get 4 of those special orders by completing four xx-15 missions with honors
Step 2: use 4 orders on spg15 (you don’t need to complete the first 14)
Step 3: profit!

So after the tired insults he plagiarises from history, the OP admits he needs to "git gud". That's funny!

I did most of the missions in my 212A before the nerf. after that i got the 261 because of its faster reload time and top speed and i do just fine in that.

As with the multiple video's about the "Fuhrer's voice over" from that movie, this video doesn't work for me because it's in Dutch (Flemish) so I understand the original lines. Sad :(

Anyway I'm in the same problem as you, I wanted to finish the arty missions, currently doing it by grinding the US line. They're quite comfortable machines. I completed all the StuG arty missions with the M44 and the HTC missions with the M12. Logically the M40/43 should be the one to complete the 55A missions but I did those in arta a while back in the SU-14-2. I bet the M40/43 is about the same in capability as the 14-2. Since the removal of AP, I don't doubt it.

Currently struggling with the 260 missions with the M40/43. Hopefully the M53/55 can help me complete them.

I nearly peed my panties when I saw that for the first time, years ago. Tier 8 & 9 of the Russian and American arty lines are perfect for doing all missions. M44 is also ez mode for missions. Although it is arty, it requires some skill. The better you are, the less battles you have to play :)

That sounds like an excellent solution!

You pretty much only need the US arty. From tier6 and up they're very good for those missions. For variety you might want some others but not really needed. Maybe to make it faster, get 2x crews, keep M44 and aim for M53/55 and take those in turns. M44 is good when you need to hit "x" times enemy tanks because it fires like once every 19 seconds or so with very high accuracy if you got a good crew.

The SPG's I use are:

M53/55

LefH

Fv304

G.W. Panther

I also got the whatever tier8 german because I wanted to see what it's like in the Frontlines but it's horrible. I've got Lorraine (tier7 french) researched but I think the french tree was kinda meh.

Currently I'm not playing arty much since I completed the T-55a missions and won't probably play them until I get HT and TD missions completed.

edit2: For ultimate scumbaggery, I also run food consumable when I'm doing missions because if it ever gives me that slight edge that makes me complete the missions, it was well worth the credits.
