Stop for 4 seconds. Consider all the things you do in life that you suck at.  Stop for another 4 seconds.  Apply empathy.

At least once a day i get the same question popping to me head but when i take a closer look at who might be playing this game i see the age of players is somewhere between 1-99 and suddenly it becomes clear.

Most people are dumb.  A lot of people are very dumb.  A lot of the dumb and very dumb people are also not very well educated.  Half the population is 100 IQ or below and 100 isn't exactly smart.

In financial markets, and some other fields, 130 IQ is pretty much the starting point, so if you can't hit that, find something else to do.

By contrast, it's only on the internet (or maybe in a pub) that you get the benefit of coming across dumb and dumber.

On the other hand this is a game that repays other things like fast reflexes and instincts, so Mr Dumb and Mr Dumber may very well get much better results than Mr Genius.

imagine the horror for someone beyond 3 sigma....

People who suck at something usually either stop or try to improve and considering how the average wr is 48% even when you don't try having significantly less is not understandable. I doubt so many have a handicap when they can type normally just fine.

Sometimes people are standing front of me and... they're okay. You know, he is there. He is fine. Alive. I guess.

Then I start to think about, what happens after he leaves. How does he survive out there, in the Jungle? Is he going to be okay? I start to agonize. I'm worried for his well being. Will he get home in safety? What if he forgets to breath? What about the dangers of the world?

But the next day, I see him again, smiling. Being a happy being. I'm tortured inside. I'm confused. I question my reality. I question the meaning of life. Is it possible he is not even existing when he's not here?
Like Bohr has said about the Moon. You look, it is. You don't look, it isn't. Life is strange. Nasty illusions.

I'm studying to be a hedge fund manager. It's more about learning people than learning about finance. I like it. Helps me accepting. Accepting the miraculous force behind stupidity. It needs you to accept. I think I couldn't live without the faith in the importance of stupidity. I think I would just vanish into the void. Ash and dust. My body and mind would disintegrate. He would just walk over my remaining. Being a happy being.

Enjoying his entity. So far there's enough oxygen.

Bulldog it's not even about stats, it about just common sense, leave a flank open get flanked moan about it... go to an area of the map where you lose 90% coverage and tactical advantage then moan about it. Moan about losing before the game even starts then commit previous statements.. Get complained at making three corridor maps.. design a two corridor map.....I don't expect people to be able to kill everything without losing a single HP but just things that are bloody obvious to do or not to do.

You don't pay much attention to voter demands and expectations, I take it.....

That said, on my list of deepest hopes is the hope that most WoT players do not drive real cars.

Doesn't any person with a functioning olfactory system do that? It even means we smell other people's farts :izmena:

In real life you do not usually have a stats page that you can check to compare your progress with that of the rest of the population, and even when there is the equivalent, it normally shows only your recent results. Real people do not have their ratings with their employers dragged down (or up) by early successes in kindergarten, nor can they choose to stay in elementary school forever to artificially appear to have better grades.

When you think about how the very basic gameplay is based on nothing more than common sense and basic logic, it can indeed get quite scary to play this game and see how people miserably fail with the simplest things.
You have to learn to just laugh about it. Don't think about it, just laugh. E.g. when you meet people who turn out to be a 100% stereotype.
One of the most common ones: Botlevel stats, not able to communicate like a normal human being, blaming everything but their own skills, complete lack of common sense, lots of tinfoil, writing like an elementary school dropout.
It's a bit like Pokemon - Gotta catch them all!

Hi!

> Why are people so dumb in this game?

It's a game, that costs nothing to play. So IMO most players just relax driving "steel monsters" around and smash stuff, even themselves, without any real consequence.

Y'know, some people take WoT as a game. Shocking, eh? :)

So.....I'm smarter than a psychologist(so,no need to visit one of those in the future)  http://anepigone.blo...mated-from.html and dumber than a school principal. One of the smartest people I know is a postman, I asked him why he doesn't get a job in computers or coding, he said he didn't want to lose his hobby.

It's easily understandable, what I don't understand is why you think it's not understandable. It's a binary win system with the occasional loss. Which means that as people try harder and get better, people on the losing side see a drop in their winrates, even while this does not mean that they are getting worse at the game. Your winrate can't go up without somebody else's winrate going down. In real life, unless we happen to be competing directly in the same field, somebody else's progress does not directly cause my loss.

What's more important to point out about real life is that in real life we're not all doing the same thing. We're not even doing the same things that require the same skillsets, talents or aptitudes. Easy examples can be found comparing sports or arts with jobs in fields of science. The latter requires education and logical thinking, the former require physical training and creativity respectively, both of which aren't measured very well in IQ tests if at all. If we compare salaries we find that a pro football player earns way more than I do, despite having nowhere near the intellectual capacity.
