Get the lowdown on all the changes made to Malinovka, Fjords, Erlenberg, and Mountain Pass.

The test server is down for me since yesterday 10 am.  its kinda impossible to checkout the new changes

Yeah erlenberg... yeah improvements... still unable to fix camping redline positions from which you cannot really dig out anyone, because you have to go through 6km open field, gg WG.

From the before and after screen slides of Erlenberg and Fjord, I cannot discern any SIGNIFICANT meaningful changes to those heavily but bad reworked area's...read pancake flat empty killing field, that are plagued by edge bush camping w*****s because that became the only workable strategy after the 1.0 reworks on these maps.

 

So calling these changes "Improvement" is farfetched. It's makes it sound like padding oneself on the shoulder and telling everyone the good you have done while having done none.

i thought the second version of the test was also adding the changes to the obj 430 II right?

I understand the need to improve the other maps ( you should maybe include some others too ), but Malinovka is one of the best maps, why do you touch it??? Prokhorovka, Malinovka and Mines are the only maps that almost everybody likes to play, don't change them, please. You already made bad changes to Lakeville and Fisherman's Bay, don't do it to Malinovka too.

In Erlenberg they changed castle, like it was the biggest issue with the map....

Excellent! That new change in environment shadow distribution, in combination with the big improvements of the forest areas in inaccessible parts of the maps, will increase map balance immensely. Thanks, WG! WOW! Guess, 7 years of map creating and balancing, all that hard training and boosted game development experience finally pay off dearly.

Wait what?!? Who exactly likes mines?!? :amazed:

 

I mean pretty much every person I have ever heard about it has said that it is ok for tiers 1-4 and ESL where you have smaller teams. In tier X it is just a joke of a map.

I really don't get these changes at all. They are mostly cosmetic and in none of the cases address the really problematic parts.

 

The Malinovka changes do make some sense as some of the bushes were just stupid even compared to 9.xx version, but even there the most OP position stays untouched.

Update 1.0.2 Release Note.

 

 Maps Major Improvements:
sun position was changed and so on lights and shadows on the ground.

 

 

(but trees and bushes still flip flop shapeshifter while moving)

What is this? This is what u are calling a balanced map rework? lollllll...FJORDS is the most unbalanced map in this game and u still let it like it was ....ERLENBERG....another unbalanced map, u still did nothing in this upcoming patch....who is the developer of this, who is behind this, get him fired ...he has no clue what balanced word is.

No worries. With this decisions u just removing players one by one away from this game....including me ...its simply disgusting ....bad maps, bad tanks  (OP)...and the MM is awful.

LOL, removing the spotting bushes on Malinovka so light tanks but only on one side........ 

How about you leave the spotting bushes alone Wargaming so light tanks can do passive spotting on the two maps where that is still possible?!

 

As for Erlenberg, the killing fields are already way too open and you remove even more houses, can you please stop this nonsense? Half the map is already a wasteland that you can't use!

they are trying to ruin the last good maps. GG. Im probably done as well. I really wished this could work out with the new game mode...but it just seems WG are getting worse and worse.
