Ok so pretty much everyone can agree that the quality of the game is going down right? Like, first it was 5A, SConq being added, then 430u and v4, and it takes WG 4 months to nerf a v4 only cuz almost everyone complained about it, but still the other stronger tanks are still in the game, without any nerfs.

and next patch, Obj277 comes, and with the 2nd phase of the Common Test, without nerfs... wow.

and the K91 seems pretty strong also cuz of that 9 degrees of gun depression and amazing gun

My point is like, it's kinda hard to enjoy high tiers currently, ya know?

Tier1-5 is pretty boring as hell and doesnt interest me (and most players, i guess?) and Tier6-7 can only be played for so long until it gets pretty boring. Tier8 always faces tier 10, so that's a no-no

tier 9 is pretty decent,

tier10 is a horror show, so many tanks that either suck completely, or is way too good.

I've been struggling to enjoy the game recently, i've heard of a lot of people that quit the game, including most of my former friends in WoT.. (former<-- cuz i remove them from list if they never play again, i like to keep my friendlist small for some reason).

Even when i play my 140/430u/v4, i struggle to enjoy the battles (and yes, i know i contribute to the problem of OP tanks by playing the v4, im a hypocrite :/ )

So what is your reason(s) for still playing the game? i'll create a poll with multiple options and votes for u guys to decide, i find it kinda interesting.

P.S.  sorry if someone made a post like this recently. but please vote anyways :P

i hope i have all the correct options you can vote for, i bet i missed something really obvious, just comment quickly so i can add more if needed

For me the enjoyment still outweigh the frustrations, so I voted for "I still have fun" and having fun "most of the time". However there's one important caveat: I play for 1-2 months, then quit for 6-12 months because I'll have had enough for a while.

lel rip.

my reasons for still playing is that my laptop cant run any better games and it's a decent way to waste some time if i have nothing better to do

I have no reason at all anymore to play or to buy tanks.   But I keep lurking the forums in hope WG EU fix the game and Forum staff (not the forum police) but the community staff actually commuicate with us.

Not logged on for a month.  Put money into a different game and having a blast.  Still pop on to lurk.

For me, creating mods is more fun than actually playing the game. I kinda of like the challenge.

Don't get me wrong, the game is still fun for me most of the time, especially when I am playing my light tanks.

I still have fun, even after playing for a number of years.

T4-7 are my preferred tiers.

Did enjoy Frontline though.

If the fun stops, then so will I, but so far I haven't found another game I enjoy as much as this one.

I would dispute your assertion that 'everyone agrees the game has gone downhill'.  I actually think the complete opposite.

Ive played solidly for a number of years, I do think though that the game in the last 18 mths has deteriorated. There are no go zones appearing for me as u alluded too t8 and t10 for mm and op tank introduction.

For me WG can fix this game considerably by focusing on creating better maps. They appear to be obsessed with creating new tanks to generate interest/cash, if they introduced 5 new maps in one patch it would generate real interest.

They get 2 main complaints... mm and op tanks. They are both of thier own making..their strategy isnt impressing thier customers they need to do something new and I think maps would be a very good start.

Get the team that made glacier pay them a bonus if they can create great maps consistently, job done.

There is one answer alternative missing:

Because I am a stupid masochist who loves to get cheated by a criminal russian game company.

WG is obsessed with short-term profits, but IMO this will backfire and their long-term profits will fall, they can fix so many problems quite easily, but they only focus on the short-term profits..

Tank changes necessitate tactic changes

Its mm created losses that suck,

Megatron I see your problem but I am not sure it is a widely held one but hey that's just me.

I find most tiers fun though you are right I couldn't play at tier 1-5 all the time.

I think plenty of people hang around the mid tiers perfectly happy not everyone sees high tiers as somehow superior.

I always make a point of playing a game or 2 in my luchs and AMX ELC before moving to higher tiers.

I still enjoy tiers 6 and upwards,

Tier 9 and 10 for me is still newish ground I made a decision very early on that 9 and 10 were not for me why on earth would anyone want to play a game where you almost certainly lost resources that you need to buy in game ammo equipment and consumable.

Match that with many of the tanks I had never heard of.

I finally went to tier 10 just to get the waffentrager E100 before it was removed.

Then again for the FV215B the FV215B 183 and the Foch 155, before I knew it I had succumbed to the hell that is the high tiers.

Tier 8 can be a little harsh these days so I play lots of light tank games and usually a few Frontline games, sadly we only have a few more days of FL left.

9 is pretty good I could see that becoming my new tier except I like using premium tanks to grind credits and train crews and screwing with that was just wargaming shooting themselves in the foot.

why? cos AW is dead and WT wont do anything about kamikaze planes (which are 10000000 times worse than arty).

-5 over the front, -9 over the side of the hull. As his gun can't go lower then -5 over the frontal hull. Just like the WT auf Pz IV that gets no gun depression head on over the hull, but more over the rear and side. Thus why you see so many driving it in reverse. So it won't be that OP over a ridge line. But unlike the Obj 430U more or less every gun it faces overmatches it's turret roof. So it won't be that strong luckily.

But even so.. That tank is not on every tier. I did not play tier 7 the first time they sold the E25 after it's removal and there was 5 of them on each team for weeks. There is always a fun tank on a different tier to keep me going that won't face anything I consider broken that week. And that's tier 6 to 9 for me. Most of my go to tanks are in that area. I hardly play tier X as is. And my 13 90 to name one handles the borken stuff his way.

Because if there are no fun tiers or fun tanks to play, no reason to stick around anymore. As before WOT, I played BF for my tank action. Heck I even played BF 1942's Desert Combat here a few weeks ago when I had my last break from WOT. Tho then it was more A-10 then Abrams tbh. And AW and WT don't do anything for me anymore. So this is it. And that's kinda the issue too. WG knows we don't have many other places to go.

well me and my friends tend to play high tiers more than the low tiers, everyone is different, im not exactly sure how the playerbase is stretched across the different tiers, but yeah

well i dont like the fact that the k91 has such high pen and shell velocity and dpm + 9 gun depression,  i played the K91 and u can really easily position yourself to use ridges, it really isn't hard :) it is a good tank BUT IMO it isn't exactly fun to play, but the 277 is a different story, it is actually fun to play and it is really really good.. :/

Aging, and this one of games not oftenly requires reaction of an insect. Also only in this game you can hear tank sounds and also it is one of games what similar to chess. Ofc i'll say what more ppl would be playing wot if not comfort monetisation sistem, kids ruling tanks balance departament  and spot/radio mechanics.
