As someone who was playing this game from April 2011 most of time on Windows XP/Win7/10... and bit less on Linux via Wine on Linux i am slowly getting out from Microsoft Windows OS world... and temporarily from WoT. I really suggest @WarGaming to port client to Linux and join Open Source evolution. Gaijin Entertainment did it with War Thunder. Steam supports Linux, AMD etc... many else do.
I really hope we will see this game on Linux in near future... :)

Why making a poll, if that poll is biased? Make it yes and no, is that so hard?

Even though, I think it is a nice to have, to get linux support, I refuse to vote in such a poll, where No is a not wanted answer.

I refuse to vote in polls unless you can tick all the options. I voted in this poll.

I hope that there will native linux build in future, so I don't need boot to Windows any longer.

Agree. it is pain in *** to keep whole OS partition just to play WoT in my case for example.

WG hasn't revealed much about the enCore graphics engine they use in WoT. I would guess it supports only purely DirectX as back end.

In other words, ain't gonna happen.

@krismorgan

Better stay silent then. ;)

@TankkiPoju

I was thinking like that also... but who knows maybe Vulkan and OpenCL have future here?

It would also need to perform as well as the Windows version, otherwise still better to boot Windows to play.

If WG had actually brains, they would develop WoT for all platform with a single graphics backend including tablets and consoles. For this, Vulkan would be pretty good for the future... or even trusty old OpenGL.

But they don't so they don't.

Whenever I boot-up Linux I comb my hair over, put on my false slightly bushy beard and finally roll my trousers up a bit.

To recycle another statement, how do you know someone uses Linux, don’t worry they will tell you.

Since this game is ported to Mac it should be relatively easy to also port it to Linux, even if it was just as a Beta client with no support, I'm always playing WoT in Linux/Wine/PoL, but stuff is broken in version 1 as in that the client crashes as soon as you try to open the emblem applying page of any tank, forcing me to have 40 Gigabyte of junk installed in my pirated Windows that I only have installed for funny companies like War Gaming that I pay money too but don't do anything for me back, today after buying the SKorpion G , I had to do another TWO HOURS of updating my 40 Gig of waisted harddisk space on Windows just so I could aply Dutch flags ..... thanks WG.
