It's true. Just gone back to randoms. It's tired, old and decaying. 

 

WG you got a choice: you either stick with your old staff and old philosophy which is dead, or innovate drastically with new blood. Frontline has shown up just how far the rest of the game has fallen behind.

Some people, including myself find frontline boring, i wouldn't say t 8 mm is fun but the frontline mod is stale

Then dont play FL and enjoy +2mm. just because FL would become permanant doesent stop you from playing randoms.

A game mode focussed on grinding credits and xp, and no one cares about winning. Yeah, no thanks, not for me.

 

If I want to unlock as much sh!t as possible, i'll just play on the testserver.

 i thought FL was one of the best things to happen to this game, i have been playing randoms again [to get XP for modules ] but Christ its boring, postage size maps guys sitting in bushes doing, jack FL [or something like it] must be the way forward,like young kane said randoms are dead

Bad optimization and playing over and over again on the same is really boring. I only played till I reached rank 13 then I stopped playing it. plus a team of bad players could easily win when defending but you needed a really good team win as attackers. plus tier 8 has too many OP tanks like Defender and Skorp G that easily rule the battle. I wish it were for Tier 9. Tier 9 is the best in the game it has lots of amazing tanks and almost all of them are balanced

Really? I got a different impression. As the first week FL showed it's effect on tier 8 random MM, later less so. As I suspect most got bored of it rather fast as it was more repetitive then randoms. 

 

Tho I want it back. They need to add more maps and fix the many flaws it had before I will bother playing FL again.

I'd love to see frontline regularly and most importantly randoms changed so that MM is corrected and frustration is mitigated. Randoms are necessary and can be fun but not as they are now and for lower tiers. Also beeing punished for losing but having played really well is frustrating.

Just make randoms great again!

True, it wouldn't. Then again players that already have decent T8 tanks and good crews will forever fight players who have yet to research T8 tanks they want for the mode, in their gifted FL tanks, because the tiers needed to grind these tanks would be void of players to generate battles on a large enough scale.

 

It's sort of the same issues that could be the result of a skill based MM, at times you'd have trouble forming teams if the skill bracket you are in is not online in sufficient numbers.

I don't even feel like playing randoms anymore... so I won't.

frontline made this game great to play again...just like WG introduce something which as far as I see was very popular(im sure WG can check their playing logs to see this)+then take it away...back to playing in randoms with dire teams+careless attitudes....I agree with the post that says maps need to change....I myself got to rank 30 5 times....I loved it,it gave me something to actually log onto....yes there is op tanks at tier 8 but nothing is op against arty or artillery strike...so WG any plans to re-introduce this mode...it might save ur game that's dying a death from a 1000 cuts

As I've said elsewhere I'm finding it hard to re engage.  I've rediscovered TV today.

 

My rig, which is over 6 years old bar a SDD and GFX 980 upgrade ran at just short of 60FPS with nearly everything on full.

 

 

I found Frontline very engaging.  I saw more teamwork in capping than I see in randoms (I mean when capping is required to win) I saw many a very close ending and I made tons of credits, made tons of free XP and I got two neat-o and one OK-ish camo job.

 

So now I play my tier VIII premiums and it's Tier IX's every bloody where.

Not true, I was scared of randoms too after FL but had some awesome games in randoms anyway

FL was an excellent addition to the game but that doesent change anything from the fact that randoms are and will be the core of the game till the bitter end, whether you like it not.

I very much enjoyed it although after a week or two it got a bit boring. Would love to see it return with at least one more map and also have it for tiers 9 and 10.

But you are right in a way. I tried and did play like 20 randoms today, maybe even 30 on tier 10.... Boy that gameplay is just something else.... and not something good, not even close to good.

If Wargaming adressed these:

 

  1. More maps.
  2. Credit and experience imbalances
  3. Attack vs Defence (think like Battlefields system)

 

I sincerely doubt people would rather play randoms and would not believe people would call it "boring".

 

Randoms are dead. K.I.A. Frickin cesspool of bile, hate and nothing but the worst things you can say about your worst enemy.

 

In FL people actually collaborate. When they see the rewards, winning becomes less important, which is why WG has to address them. Apart from that, I see no valid reasons to play Randoms over FL, even considering the fact you can't grind lines on it.

Give us back the frontline mode! It was fun and matchmaking was much much better than the craprandom matchmaking! Plus we could fight in the same tier always so no OP tanks what cant be penned (like 268 4).

If too many players migrate to FL the game is on death row. Without influx of new players it will literally bleed to death as player leave and never come back, because no new players would be able to grind to T8...
