Just curious.

Whether people are F2P or P2W is a choice of their own business and is to be respected.  Feel free to add in your thoughts and your way of playing the game in terms of the aforementioned context.

:)

Having played several online games where you simply don't stand a chance without paying, I still have my problems with that P2W argument regarding WG. For me there is no P2W as long as there are craploads of credit card warriors just remain bad players no matter how much they spend on the game, while other players manage to get everywhere, without spending a dime.

I am missing one option "was a regular paying customer, not anymore".

Used to laugh at people who suggested WoT is P2W. Then all the premiums like Skorp, T26E5 and mainly DEFENDER that are just flat out better than regular tanks arrived. That and the insane armor powercreep on higher tiers where you either spam gold or spread your cheeks and let that 268v4 violate you. Now I don't laugh anymore.

bUt YoU cAN gRInD cREdiTS aT TIer 5! Yeah okay let me just play 1000 games with my Pz IV without prem account then maybe I can afford to play 5 tier 10 games slinging prem rounds if I want to stand a chance against whatever OP blob of armor is flavour of the month.

For all the spending I've done in this game I've gotten very little win in return. But man have I saved me some time and shortened the most horrible grinds. I dare not think about how long the AMX 65t grind would have been without premium account and boosters, or how I would have funded all those T10 tanks in the garage.

Never brought premium time (apart from a few lots of 24h (possibly 3 ins)with some left over gold) and some premium tanks that looked fun

Cos they spend gold, by being pro WG.

You too could have spent premium rounds 24/7, get refunded and prove your point, but that's not your style.

I can't vote honestly, but I guess that the closest is " Rarely spend money and only do so when it's necessary"

I've not spent anything since Christmas 2016 when I used money to buy decorations and got Gold. I haven't needed to spend any since.

I have bought a lot of garage slots over the years. Along the way I have abandoned so many lines, got rid of Premium gift tanks (I don't do that now) and won so many slots that I don't need to do this now. I have LOADS spare.

I used to spend Gold on camouflage. With the new way of doing things I can't even be bothered to figure out how it works, so I just put 75,000 credits worth of rental camo and never bother with permanent camo on new keepers- especially as how WG are buffing/nerfing and moving tank tiers just about every patch. Since the LT revamp I am down to only three high-tier LTs now and I am not bothering to get any more. Waste gold buying camo? Not happening.

I have three Premium tanks that I have bought. Considering the amount of bitching that goes on on the forum about how bad many of them are (as well as my own experience of free and rental Premiums), I am not spending money on them again.

So, we come down to converting XP to Free XP, crew training and removing equipment as just about the only things I now do with Gold. With grinds getting really slow in higher tiers, I don't do much of any of these either.

I currently have 5660 Gold, and WG will be lucky to get another cent out of me for the rest of this year at least.

would have been easy, had you gone down BC line.

Generally a freeloader, but I have spent on a bunch of premium tanks and permanent camouflage on my keepers. I have bought one day of premium time some 3-4 times; longer premium time with my level of activity would be akin to shovelling money into the loo, and tbh there is absolutely no need for it.

I was already done with the BC line when the new HTs came out, even had the Foch 155/Foch B.
