What's so special about it or what does it mean?

It means that post is doomed

It's one of those things that sorta randomly got traction. Qpranger is/was a forumite who a while back (estimate 1.5 years but my memory might be off) posted a lot of completely inane threads and messages. This forum has seen its share of poor contributors but qpranger's ability to create threads and posts that lacked even a passing semblance to reality was so far off the charts I still shudder at the memory to this very day. I frequently take half-year+ breaks from this game (and subsequently its forum) and I still recognize the name.

I don't actually know why he doesn't post anything anymore but just presses the like button, but even when he still posted, every time a whine-thread was opened, the first post would get a like from qpranger. And it just stuck.

Every time someone is mad or steps over the line, Qpranger is there to like the post. It's not as common as it used to be, but it still brings a smile to my face. :)

Well, it's only if he is the only one to like it. Then it's seen as a "seal of approval" if you will. That the whining is doomed to fail.

He hasn't liked your post yet, he must be suffering lag, either that, or it's not doomed

How he get banned? I've been trying for months.

Only thing I havent done is call into question the parentage of the low level forum mods.

And generally speaking I think he is on the right track most of the time, unlike when he could actually speak :teethhappy:

You mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries? Worked for Monty Pyton, and worked in Game of Thrones. Should annoy any WoT mod enough, really. :P

His opinions are generally derided for being nonsense ("WG is rigging game against me", "WTE-100 is weak" along with all the irrelevant nonsense that got posted in the 'gameplay' section) and so when he 'likes' a post people will tend to associate the post in someway with his nonsense  - guilty by association.

He liked your post, and his last post is from 11/01/2018. So yeah a ban seems likely. Given the amount of silly topics and the limited number of likes, I suppose he has to chose wisely.

Looks like qpranger is from Estonia and although people tend to be rather shy there, a number of reasons can explain his behaviour:

- lack of sunlight in the winter

- lack of sleep in the summer

- lots of alcohol, terviseks!

I'm sure he's still here trolling us with an alt account. I quite liked him actually, once you ignored the obvious wind up posts. It must have something to do with the fur or the puffy cheeks.

He had become something of a forum character by the time he took his holiday and is now an esteemed member of the Dingers.

Getting liked by Q-pranger is the equivalent of about 1000 negrep before they took away the rep system.  It means your post was beyond stupidity.

How come?

After qpranger had many of his own threads and posts, locked, mocked and deleted, he developed a kinda of 'spidey sense' about other threads by posters that he thought would fall into his own realm of bordering on the edge of insanity. Being banned himself from posting, he had to utilize what little the WG moderators had left him........the up vote.

Then from the darkest depths of his mind he formulated a very cunning plan. Rather than join in the feeding frenzy on a nonsense topic in the normal tin-foil hattery manner, he would just up vote such a post.

This was quite a fiendish plan which had two very clear goals, the first, was by up voting he gave the poster a sense of confidence in their beliefs and that there were others who felt just the same. The second goal, was to encourage the poster to post more on the topic and so lead them down the rabbit hole to where there is no returning to the world of reason............to the darkness that is...qpranger hell.

PS:- You can still read his latest incredible ramblings on the Dinger forum, all you have to do is join the Dingers for access.

(This is not a recruitment ploy......honestly)
