Personally, I miss Pearl River so much! Especially, the beautiful jungle.. but also nice memories, like my first SH battles on this map in a tier 5 ELC :D

 

Which one(s) do you miss?

I miss all the removed maps, it is also the reason why l deleted that game.

I miss them too, they removed many good maps and made bad ones Glacier, Province... so i quit playing with update 1.0

My view on this matter is...

 

All maps should be made up to 1.1 standards and brought back!

Also there should be a rotation system and scale of tiers that can play one or other map, more diversity, more fun, more ppl playing.

 

Same goes for premium tanks in my view, all should be available to buy, u got the money u buy, u dont or preffer not to, them dont!

A little description or Pics of the minimap/ Screenshots in a spoiler would help and save some time researching.

 

For example: I Remember to not like Komarin very much, but memory is a little hazy what i did look like and why i didn't like it.  Now i have to do some research.

Bring all maps back! Then allow players to opt in/out of maps. A simple list with a checkbox is all it would take.

There are good reasons why these maps were removed at first place. Probably can still find threads in the forums complaining about them, including for the highway which was introduced now

What does it mean good reasons..? When a few people complain about a map, a few about another and so on, it means you have to remove all maps... No, that isn´t a solution, the solution is, if some map is massively criticised, make a check and rebalance it, besides, the last bunch of maps were removed due to not being ready HD reworked WG said, it is said by WG that all those maps will be gradualy reintroduced after HD reworking so lets´s hope and hope more for all the removed maps along the years, wich were given to the console version under the title of exclusive content, instead of letting them on PC and consoles too, they made this WoT PC game boring... Whereas PC players made WG rich at times when WoT wasn´t even on consoles...

Yes, and they are being reinstroduced and if you haven't noticed, there are already theads to remove them ;)

But as I said, most of the maps which are not scheduled for rerelease soon were removed for solid reasons.

For example Port was removed for balance issues after mechanic changes and on top of that had bug issues. On Dragon ridge one of the teams managed to win 60-70% of the battles. The problem with most of the other maps were that they were a campfest.

And here's another problem - people are complaining about corridor meta, but when there is an open map, they(or other people) complain that it becomes a campfest.

To balance a map, you need players with very good knowledge of the game and the map who are able to give reliable feedback, which has to be evaluated, then it has to be tested empirically with a lot of data to see if one of the teams is in advantage. Some maps just don't deserve that much attention and at that point it would be easier to just make new maps from scratch.

 

Then again - more maps doesn't mean more quality. CS for example has in rotation how many maps? 5-6 right? The logic behind a good map is balance, not personal tastes. I also liked some of the mentioned by the OP maps, but I know they weren't balanced.
