What does it actually achieve to use XVM, (and yes I do know how divisive it is in the community) but seriously I cannot think of any good reason to use it, I did try it briefly but apart from adding lots of colours and figures onto an already crowded screen, I quickly removed it, by way of totally having to re-installing the game.

I hear more and more of mods which allow arty to permatrack you, that must obviously be a cheat, so how do these cheats get ingame without accounts being closed down?

If you do use XVM, which is the best one to use, i know WG had this mod shop thing but for the life of me I cannot find it anymore, plus are they actually legit?

No such mod exists.

I personally use this mod that allows me to hit the enemy tanks, i believe its packed with mod that puts a minimap in the bottom right corner of the screen.

Also xvm has only 1 good use and that's looking the stats of folk who call the team or someone in the team noob/tomato/bad/something more exotic.

Ok, it seems a different story I hear hern when arty focus on guys I toon with, especially the guy who do play arty, who fire a shot and get one right in the kisser in return, not happened to me but it seems to happen to others.

I'm not saying it does exist by the way, just picking up on other players perceptions.

I like having XVM.  I get an idea of the relative strengths and weaknesses of the two teams, and it can determine my strategy - not 'who am I going to target' but - should I sit back and defend against the superior players, or should I play a more aggressive attacking role against less able opponents.  Plus, as has been mentioned, being able to out-[edited]a whiner with factual evidence ... "Who are you calling a noob when you have only 872 games played?"

No mod can affect calculations made server side, as in damage and pen rolls or spotting etc.

I don't use it anymore. Most of the useful features (spotting range circle) have been integrated and my stats just make me feel bad.

Lots of reasons to use XVM:

- automatic return of crew

- better stats in garage

- better filters

- light bulbs next to names

- etc

Nor me.  But it is nice , when receiving that abuse, to be able to point out that I've played 30,000 more games than they have...

The top thing you use XVM for:

Knowing who to listen to and follow in the game. Pay attention to greenies, ignore tomatoes and oranges.

You very often have people on your team who are very vocal and may seem to know their stuff, but then a quick look at their played games and WN8 reveal them to be just as awful as me.

Don't use XVM, tried it once couldn't make head nor tail of it. I also play arty and have been accused of focusing the "better players"!

Not true only focus those I can hit oh and premium tanks:)

To perma-track somebody on arty you need:

1) a tonk with no skill crew and preferably no repair kit

2) a good arty (m44 is a good arty with possible 16 seconds reload)

Magic will flow.

And, dont use XVM, you can keep your hopes up till the end of the game.

Do you think, OP is being XVM-focused?

I'd not recommend to do that. Some of them are real scumbags, well knowing how to use you as a meatshield. Watching their gameplay however is always something you can take your profit from.

This is where I start having a problem with XVM, when it enters the battle.

I'm using XVM mostly to see national flags and to track my own stats. I never force to shoot good players over bad ones, I prefer to kill bad ones first if it comes to that, but rarely. As I know there is only 1 XVM which is implemented in various mods.

My reasons

1) Traverse angles of TDs on mini map

2) It has better hit log and dmg log than vanilla

3) I rarely play arty but when I do it shows my reticle on the minimap

4)It shows how much hp both teams have left

5)It shows how much dmg I need to get the high caliber

6)Its always good to know the ratings of teammates and the enemy. It helps you see find the players that are more likely to be relied upon. Also it shows which enemies to fight more carefully. Fighting a guys with 4000 WN8 is not the same as someone with 200 WN8
