the 105mm gun has 5 degress of depression with the stuck turret, and 6 with the top turret.

on the other hand, the 88mm gun has 8 degrees of depression with the stock turret, and 6 with the top.

so, with one gun the gun depression increases, with the other it decreases to the point it matches the value of the former. why? is this on purpose?

1st turret, long 88.

It can snapshot, good dpm, play like CDC.

No logic to it, and none of us on the forum will be able to explain.

Any one with an ounce of sense uses the stock turret and the 88 to grind through this tank before selling it.

just from the reality part of the issue. for 99% of the tanks not the distance between gun and hull roof is the limiting factor for maximum gundepression but:

the gunbarrel itself dosen´t end at the turret surface, it reaches inside of the turret aswell. add in recoil "enlengthening" the innerturret part of the barrel when moving it down is limited by the (distance to the) turret roof.

to illustrate this i´ll activate my awesome paint skills...

As said above it is probably due to the actual physical diameters of the breech end of the gun, that it is smaller or short IRL so allowing the gun to depress further. If it is a lower velocity firing weapon it will have less recoil, there fore less likely to damage inside parts of the turret. Stats of WoT vehicles may not reflect real life but I imagine the dimensions of vehicles for the models will be reproduced from actual plans and blue prints.

This, don't bother upgrading the turret because not only do you have less gun depression, it's also a *LOT* heavier meaning your tank is slower but somehow the armor is pretty much the same, I guess they just put depleted Uranium in it to increase the weight or something.

"The Czech tier8 medium tank that probably has the most interesting gun choices in the game" - a popular streamer

Anyways, I used it with top turret and the big gun. Because why not.

why not use stock turret and stock gun for -12* of gun depression

Stock turret with the good 88 is the popular way to go, however when I'm finished with the t34/100 I'll be using top turret + 105  since playing another 240 alpha tier 8 medium is just aaaaaaaaa

I just started on this tank. I totally hate it. Will follow Spurtung's advice if I ever get the courage to play it again.

People keep trolling but it can actually happen. I remember 3 T8 heavies hiding behind a corner against a single(!!!) Defender. I picked up speed, went past them, tracked the Defender. The Defender was a sport and let me farm him while being permatracked. He kept aiming at those 3 Tier8s that wouldn't move...

VTU plays...

Typical tank that makes you smile twice: when you buy it and when you sell it.

The good thing with the TVP is that nobody expects anything,

so if you even as top tier, hide in a corner, people say nothing.

Even worse...

Sitting in an AMX 65t as top tier looking down the barrel at a VK or Defender feels like bringing a knife to a gunfight. :hiding:

Basically this. Although tbh the Konstrukta T-34/100 was worse to me. Don't look at my stats in that thing, it's scary.

Although I free-exp'ed about halfway the Skoda T50, I found it quite enjoyable. And yes, as Spurtung has said: Top 88 + Stock Turret

The armour can pull some autobounces but it's generally unreliable.

I liked the TVP VTU grind better than the awful Pershing. But I realize I might be in the minority.
