Its just reguleredes so slow it is now,  can WG give et a more power-full engine compared to others T5 lights ie Chaffie.... let there be 2 options i tech tree..

Hit water u stop to a halt, almost...uphill, you have to go out and push it up before the game is over.

1. You chose big gun,, then you get the slow engine..

2. Take little gun and get a more power-full engine..

Not ask for more armor, gun, or camu aso, just ffs give it a engine..

Yeh, WG overnerfed it. Giving it back it's former engine power would be nice, as the former pen for the 90mm gun, considering they nerfed it's DPM too...

I can live with the damage output and the loooong reload, but the mobility should get buffed a bit. At least the turning rate and the ground resistance.

Is it Russian tho? Does it deserve a buff if it's not?

Yeah but its smaller to stop crying.

They should actually buff all tier 5 lights but then again, who cares about lights    :sceptic:

People need to stop asking for buffs to well balanced tanks.

The ELC is a very good scout at the moment.   It was good that it was nerfed, because before it was both an excellent scout, AND the best TD in the game.   That was way overpowered.

I recently grinded the elc and found it a good tank with nice view range and a small profile. Although I enjoyed the small gun more. I have never played the old one but I don't think it requires a buff

ELC needs it's old engine power back, it's pretty simple.

You can't effectively use the 90mm anymore since you can't run away after you do your signature move. (Drive in real close, shotgun, drive away)

Sure, if you get scout mm back for it as well. Same goes the Vk28.01 derp as well.

Why would the 10,5cm be a problem on the VK2801 (Tier 6) while you have the same gun on the Pz4 (Tier5) and Hetzer (Tier4)?

Explain why it would be an issue on a light tank two tiers higher then the first introduction of the gun?

True, it's well balanced, but it's not fun to play like it used to be.

If we got the old ELC with the old MM though...

I am in for that. All in, actually, since that would resurrect one of the few really awesome tanks in this game from the dead. Heck, give it tier 7 light tank MM and just revert to all the old stats and then only add 65 to 80 HP and I would be very very pleased.

I don't want it to be buffed to the old levels. As that was to avoid tier X guns, not tier 5 guns. But something between where it is now, and where it was is def needed. As that's the only beef I have with it. It's still a solid scout or TD if you play it like that.

The mobility stats should be buffed to what they were before it got nerfed, it feels clumbsier then a Sherman and has issues getting above the 40km/h or turning. The guns are fine honestly, it's just the mobility that feels more like a sluggish medium tank then a light tank.

Since it's balanced as it is now and it doesn't need a buff, but maybe to give some of the old flavour back you can give it the old mobility but Nerf it's view range by 10m as compensation.

As Simeon has showed the ELC is performing decently.

The problem is that we all remember what it was like prior to the nerfs, and back then it was very good in the hands of decent players, probably too good.

Most of the veteran players feel that when the light scouts had their +3 mm taken away they were nerfed too hard. But then most of us also believe that the tier X light tanks are far too weak.

I cannot personally see the logic of having same tier mediums having better view range than light tanks (unless USA mediums - which have high view range, because slow speed, and poor hull armour).

Personally like to see a few slight buffs to some light tanks.

As to the AMX ELC bis it no longer needs the 90mm gun as it is now +2. It does not need more engine power, even with the 180hp engine it now has it has a great power to weight ratio. The thing that really kills it is the terrain resistances which are the worst of the tier V lights. But this seems to be a common trait for all the French light tanks, the AMX Even 90 suffers from the same things. For the AMX ELC bis it's terrain resistances are 1.15/1.34/2.30 for Hard/Medium/Soft. If you took 0.15 off each of them they would still be worst in class at 1.00/1.19/2.15 but I am guessing the AMX ELC bis would feel far more comfortable. It has a power to weight ratio of 26.63 and a top speed of 60/20. In comparison the AMX Even 90 at tier VIII has a power to weight ratio of 23.88 because it has engine power of 160hp (20hp less than a tank three tiers below it), and resistances of 0.67/0.77/1.34. The Even 90 also bleeds speed as soon as it hits a puddle of any kind. The tier VII and VIII french tech tree tanks the AMX 13 75 and the B-C 12t have the exact same terrain resistances as the Even 90 at 0.67/0.77/1.34. It's only the tier VIII when they finally get a better power to weight ratio than the tier V.

It was extremely good maybe borderline op but thats more the player than the tank itself.

Its was pity it was overnerfed as it was a nice light tank with a unique playstyle.

What should have happened was a new light tank coming in at tier 5 and the ELC moving up a tier that would have been preferable

Instead they added a new tier 8.

I do like the other changes to the line but the poor old ELC isnt as competitive as it was.

The entire point of it was that it had the specific power to use its speed

The surviving AMX ELC has a 250hp engine and so did the one in the game before the change to a 180

Another curiosity is that the AMX ELC could rotate its turret 360 with the 90mm gun but it had to be stationary to do it meaning in game it would have to have something like the Swedish siege mode.
