Now granted, I have only played 3 battles with the 277.  That's nothing.

BUT, in every single battle, almost every time my armor gets penned, instant damage to modules and/or crew.

Is this just me?

Russian tank. Don't think I have driven a russian tank where modules/crew don't get hurt fast. They're quite crowded, so it stands to reason their modules get damaged easy.

At least their ammorack isn't so easy damaged, like brits (front plate) or the french (ammoracks, ammoracks everywhere!)

The chance to hit a module are the same for all tanks. A shell passing inside an ammorack volume will have 33% chance to damage it, 45% for the engine volume and 100% for yrack volume.

I would say it's just you...

Edit

As UrQuan said, russian tanks are really cramped, so a lot of module and crew members are close to each other. A shell may pass inside 2-3 module before ending its jurney. Rven if there are just few chance to damage each module, hitting more than one increase the chance to damage at least one of them.

I guess so.  The tank is super fun to drive and play, I like it.  Not surprising as I like the T-10 a lot.  But man it is a pain to constantly have to repair modules/crew.   It's like a joke now.

I guess I will have to sooner or later invest in some equipment to deal with that instead of improving anything else with the equipment.

Thanks for the replies.

I have to say, there is one hilarious advantage to this paper module thing.  It's hilarious to focus your fire on enemy 277 knowing you will almost always set them on fire, destroy their modules, etc with every pen you make.  The problem is when it happens to you.

Maybe it's Ersatz? Possibly also a cost saving measure on WG's part...

Russain tanks are not known for having much module HP. Then again it depends on what smacks you. As some guns have more module damage then others. And Russian HT's don't like those, never did.
