Ok, minor trouble.

I have a bird feeding station in my garden for all the little birds, the songbirds.

However, I have two pigeons that I'm constantly chasing off away from the feeder, as they take huge amounts, and scatter debris all over the place.

I keep shooing them off, even providing brown bread for them to eat by putting it on the lower deck in the garden.

And still it's not enough for them. I still have to chase them off from the feeder.

I'm now getting fed up with the two of them.

Should I just shoot the pair of them ?

And they are a pair, a couple, lovers, whatever you want to call it. They've mated together and stay together.

I have a decent air rifle, and a good aim, should I despatch them ? ..or is there another way ?

If they are plump enough then shoot them, at least then there would be enough meat to have a good meal with.

I suggest you only notice them due to the size but go for a feeder which they can't get on if it really bothers you.  Pigeons aren't very acrobatic.

Squirrels on the other hand will get into just about any feeder.

And I had a couple of ravens which figured out how to unhook the feeders and throw them on the ground so they could easily empty them.  That needed the security beefing up.

You need to let them eat from your feeder, we're living in a society. Also you need to edit your post or risk going to jail, all birds are equal.

Is it legal to:

1) Shoot animals in your own yarn?

2) Use air rifle to shoot them?

3) Kill when they are nesting?

Can you do it without getting caught?

If you answered no to any of those questions you should not do it.

It is actually legal to shoot a pigeon on private property with an Air Rifle.

I had the same problem.  I put little plastic anti pigeon spikes on the feeder arms (cheap on fleabay) this stopped the problem and made my feeder look like a punk rocker !!!!

The pigeons are useful as they now clean up the ground under the feeder.

Pigeons can be trained with hand commands, just like dog's...   ;)

Pigeons have excellent eyesight and were also trained in search and rescue by spotting victims in near impossible sea conditions and pecking the glass in the direction of the survivor.

Their eyes work 40 times faster than ours, which is why they can wait unil the last second before getting out the way of a car..

They are also stupid which is why they get run over frequently...

And they taste nice
