I want to propose => 

 

Mastery Badge : Ace tanker == no repair cost 

 

I think this is a good idea. Lets hope all players will get free tank repairs! If player plays well he gets rewarded.

Something like this is not that bad of an idea to be honest.

 

Although i'd make it;

 

Ace Tanker Defeat - Half repair costs.

Ace Tanker Victory - Free repairs.

Mark of Excellence - Increases crew Morale which makes them perform better at their major qualification and perks. (3/6/10%)

But that has nothing to do with playing well. There are plenty of sites/players who will get those marks for cash.

Unless how you get the Mark of Excellence is changed with a way of losing it as well.

Could be an idea. But I really doubt Wargaming wants to give the already better players such an advantage with crewskills.

 

Think an xp or credit boost with the marks would a better idea.

They actually do,

good players will have a profit on high tiers,

while bad players will need Fort Knox packages.

I like the principle of the idea but I'd expand it a bit, maybe rank 1 as well, and/or people who get a medal in the battle get a repair discount. Perhaps even all ranks, with the repair discount scaling proportionally.

 

Making it only for Ace Tanker seems to be just giving a reward for people who already are getting a high reward because they did really well... if you can't make the bonus accessible to people who generally don't do so well, it'll just seem out of reach and no real incentive to improve.

With the marks, Why not;

 

1 Mark - +2.5% Credit making, on that tank

2 Marks - +5% Credits

3 Marks - +10% Credits

Good play is already rewarded, you get bonds for medals. Generally, good play also results in more credits and experience earned.

 

Trouble is, zombies don't care.

 

The only thing that might help is to severely punish bad play. It should truly hurt to lose. Even if zombies don't care, harsh game mechanics that eventually stop you from playing the game at high tiers would force a choice on them: improve or GTFO.

We need to encourage BAD PLAYERS to play better. This can either be done by encouraging them not to play like bots, or alternatively, penalizing them for playing like bots.

 

The competitive nature of competent players is already enough of a motivation for them.

A player acing a tank not very often like me won't care to pay repairs : acing is in itself a nice reward.

 

Better players won't really care, players acing once every year won't care at all. For most of them : if they could ace they would, whatever the bonus.

I proposed positive reports in game instead of negative reports. 

But they dream of glory days of machine gunning your own troops

NO!

 

But i like the ace no repairs thing. Doesn't create imbalances and the "prize" is not that much. Like you don't master a tank every battle. And the silver is available to anyone every match anyway so doesn't seem unfair like the extra food buff Moff proposed.

Boosting good players won't help bad players, it only make them weaker.

If only that'd be implemented. Then for me personally there would be a purpose of grinding 3 gun marks. The horror :trollface:

This is bafflingly elitist. Do you honestly believe that running people off is a healthy policy for an online gaming service, regardless of whether Wargaming'd EVER be interested in persuing this?

WG should probably have some incentives to play good.
Lesser repair costs scaled with the mastery badge you get.
3rd class a%
2nd class b%
1st class c%
Ace tanker d%

Also, I believe WG should punish players who TK, desert, suicide or grief in some ways.
Currently none of these behaviours are penalised in a meaningful way.
