Have grinded through it a long time ago but I dont think the playstyle has change.

Still is a medium/tank destroyer hybrid that supports from second line (it is good at its role).

But u will probably have to adjust, iirc a44 is a peculiar brawler of shorts for its tier, with a bouncy hull.

430 II was the one that got changed to better fit the line. Wave goodbye to sidescrapping and turret bouncing shots.

Isn't reliable on any of them to begin with.

A-44 for me used to be pure TD with the 57mm.

Okay thanks for answers.

The Obj 416 is annoying to play. The tank itself is fine. It's how the tomatoes and potatoes treat it.

I have allied TDs randomly team shooting me or blocking / pushing me out of bushes and telling me to "go spot" for them all the time.

I have basically stopped playing it due to this.

Not anymore, it isn't. Go ask last Monday me how the 430 II was being played.

The line, from tier 8 onwards, is to be treated like the old ELC AMX.

It's probably one of the best tier 8 meds but it's extremely 'awkward' due to a number of factors including the rear mounted turret and lack of gun dep, the turret also does not fully traverse and it's very low to the ground so any sort of uneven ground is your bane. You'l also need a mortgage to cover the cost of shells as even the basic AP rounds are ludicrously expensive.

The pluses include a really nice gun and very good camo. You definitely need to play it like a support med/TD.

As far as i'm aware, nothing changed about it. Still a good, if awkward, tank.

It got it's HD model eons ago. And it's been unchanged for a long time. Tho the tier 9 was changed this patch in terms of armor, but not due to an HD model as such. Simply to fit the line more.

It's still the best tier 8 med IMO... or TD if you will. Great camo rating when in cover, and not to bad when firing. Then again, the 416 never did bounce much. It's all about the gun on that. So don't expect that.

Oddly enough, sidescrapping vs 263's etc still works on the hull, as even their gun can't overmatch it. So keep it at 70 and it will still be effective vs most guns. Tho as you said, now they only need to aim a bit higher. As the turret then is butter as most angles.

416 is fine and unchanged, it;s awkwardness is compensated by alpha, camo, DPM, amazing HEAT pen for the tier, 430 2 is now garbage.
