Ok peeps, little time to reminisce. My first online gaming experience was a microsoft game called Close Combat 3 (The Russian Front), anybody remember that one?

Would have been around 1998 if I remember correctly. You used to have to log into something called the Microsoft Gaming Zone to play. All on dial up 32k modem lol..... Fantastic.

Who can remember their first online gaming experience and with which game?

Battlefield 2142 ,  some of the funniest games ever on the knife only servers.  Spawn with full weapon loadout and machine gun a whole team to death before kick.

I had a go at that, but it was just too frantic for me. Having said that I have played most of the Battlefield games reasonably well.

There used to be a TV program based upon 2142 some kind of league, did you ever see that?

Quake II in 1996,

followed by Halflife in 1997 and

Counterstike from beta 0.1 - that one was funny.  There was no buying weapons, you had to remember where they'd been dropped in the previous round and run out from the spawn to pick them up.

Quake 1 in 1996 or so (it was installed in the computer lab, hidden amongst the win 95 directories, teacher was afraid to erase stuff from there).

Also, i think Tycoon Transporter Deluxe also had a multiplayer option.

After that it was Counter Strike and Quake 2.

Farmville on Facebook 3 years ago, then this from last October, I only lasted a couple of months on farmville however as it was quite boring. and my laptop at that time was insufficient to run it.

In order, Not all but games I spent a lot of time in.

Novalogic's Delta Force series.

Microposes Falcon 4, Flying as a 4 ship over a 56K US Robotics Modem using Roger Wilco as a Comms Server was the best gaming experience I've had ever,

Westwoods Studio's  Earth and Beyond

Jumpgate - Loved this game back in the day... best Skill based game I can remember

Eve online - Often go back, Take my Tengu out, dock it then never login in for another year or so.

Star Wars Galaxies. Was there when the server switched off. One of the best Weapon Smiths on Chimera

BF2142 (reminded after reading above) When EA was good.

WOW. (son owns my account now, I left as a level 65 Druid) he now has all characters at Max level)

Planetside. Was there when the server died. Experience of mass warfare has never been beaten until started Planetside 2 two in April.

World of Tanks - From Beta - April 2018

Planetside2 . Love it, Game has my time since April and I'm enjoying every minute of it.

Mine was Quake and then that evolved into Quakeworld, which was the onlone version of it. Also joined my first clan while playing (T.C) - The Collective. Was an awesome time to be gaming
