Interesting to see some numbers. Not surprised that they're common. It's kind of a natural phenomenon, after all. A slight initial edge leads to a large advantage in the end. Interestingly, steamrolls is something that even Wargaming often mentions in Q&As as something they wish to avoid.

 

There are surely features/issues that don't help on the end result. My main culprit is tier distribution. Fewer top tiers is not a good thing, nor are maps where numbers (and not tactics) are the main deciding factor. To some degree what tanks and players each tema gets too, of course, but that is definitely not easy to correct.

Right around now it is light tanks, yes i said it LIGHT TANKS, did you ge that?

 

Seriously why the $%^& do these things even have guns? where ever you go, you cannot take on anything, just drive around, and YOLO that is the only way to play these stupid *edited* things, give me arty anyday, drive, spot, hide behind a bush or a rock, and get taken out.

 

Advice I was given was to never stay still, which means yolo ing around until you die, anything which makes me actually want to throw hammers around in anger it is these *edited*.

 

Nothing but NOTHING works, 

 

 

So just in case you have not heard, I *edited* HATE LIGHT TANKS!!!

 

 

Rant over, I will now go play some heavies, please keep arty, and [edited]lights off right outta the game:angry:

The inability to view old replays as updates occur (no video option on wotreplays until 2017). Not all of us made vids from our replays, so they are basically lost, or you have to go through a lot of hassle, or know someone who has an old replay-viewing setup.

I'm sure 100% WG is aware of steamrolls as they hold all data and i'm sure 100% they like these steamrolls. At the end faster games mean more money for WG.

Well, it is one of the few issues that are mentioned every so often in Q&As and the like. There are even certain tweaks clearly meant to address it. Guess that either means it's a very common complaint or it's something they can claim as 'fixed'. While faster games are good for profit, I'm not quite sure if the loss of fun for the players makes it worth it.

 

Some things in the game are intentional, others are not. Hard to tell - unless you find a Q&A where core game features are described in a straight-up manner.

There are, for instance, very good reasons why the matchmaker is made this way. Wargaming wants the game to leave 'memorable experiences'. I.e. you'll play a lot of crappy games and get one or two really good ones per week - which you'll remember when you consider playing.

It's meant to keep people playing without resorting to good, or actual, game design.

 

(The 3-5-7 pattern itself has certain statistical implications. For a simple demonstration of variance, try graphing the results of a series of two-coin flips versus a series of 10-coin flips. The graph for the former should be more 'wild' than the latter.)

There is a long list of non working things in this game but what i really hate is the fact that this beautiful game is in Wargaming hands . They completly ruined this game in last years by trying to earn as much as possible from it . In 2 - 3 years this game will close and they will come out with a brand new identical game .
