Pros:

  • Same DPM as Pz4H's 75mm gun. More DPM than hydro and T-25
  • Good view range(for German med, "average" for tier)
  • High hp value
  • Good Camo
  • Good gun depression

Cons:

  • Very low ammo capacity
  • Worst Gun handling of all tier 5 mediums, poor accuracy and mediocre penetration
  • Poor top speed and acceleration, and terrible reverse speed
  • Poor all-around armor
  • No preferential matchmaking - sees tier 7

Performance

A quite mediocre tank, the Panzer III K suffers quite a lot in comparison to other tier 5 medium tanks. It has quite poor armor, and is even worse than its tier 4 counterpart the Panzer III, at only 50mm at most except for the gun mantlet and the commander's cupola. While the tank has rather nice gun depression at 10 degrees, its gun mantlet is small and only covers a small portion of the turret, meaning most shots fired at a hull-down Panzer III K will penetrate. The tank is blessed with a large amount of health at 600 hit points, so it can absorb a fair amount of shots before going down. It's mobility is also much worse than a standard Panzer III, and mediocre by tier 5 standards. Its above average average ground resistances aren't enough to make up for its weak engine and low top speed, leaving the tank outpaced by most other medium tanks.

The tank does have a decent view range, but sniping is an iffy option at best due to the tank's horrendous gun dispersion values, which are the among the worst in the tier. The gun also lacks in penetration, making dealing with higher tier opponents - which can include tier 7's due to its lack of preferential matchmaking - difficult without premium ammunition. As such, the Panzer III K is best played as more of a support tank, getting into close to mid ranges where the lack of accuracy on the gun isn't an issue.

As I collect tanks I purchased this two months ago.  Why is it being sold again when there are clearly other rare tanks that haven't seen the light of day for ages.

KV-220-2 as an example.  Not seen this one for a long time.

Premium shop really looks bad this days and outlines sad state of Wagraming tank balance.

In same shop are PZ III K and Toldi III on sale, both tanks German, and both  rendered obsolete and unplayable.

Unless ammo capacity is increased, and also some buffs to gun handling and speed...don't recommend.

Also, considering the fail of "perfecting pmm vehicles", Bobject v4, Gold derping Super heavies and 3:5:7 mm there is only one more thing to add:

I would consider the E 25 a collectors gem, but never this.

I can only speak for myself but if you really want to make these older premiums interesting give them a choice of playstyle by adding a second gun.

I wouldn't have thought it difficult maybe I am wrong about that but if you could do that it might make them much more appealing.

The new French heavy line gave me the idea you seem to be going with a high pen low alpha vs lower pen higher alpha gun selection.

Why not a similar thing with Premiums

3 years ago 2015 this would indeed be a nice tank to buy with your cash from the Premium shop

However ~ today in 2018 it looks awful for a Tier 5 Premium

its soft stats for the Gun are quite poor as is the Guns 104mm penetration and 139mm for Gold wont do much against Tier 7's

the 40kph top speed is almost as slow as Heavy Tanks now

No PMM so ….

Wargame needs to revise and update its Old Premiums from up to 7 years ago to todays Tier 5 tanks
