Who wants Province (italian) map removed?

Stupid heavily armoured tank players who dont have map awareness.  They dont like it.

 

I dont like corridor maps, but if we have to have some corridor maps I prefer Province all day long over Ensk, Mountain Pass, Manherheim Line etc. 

 

The thing is that on Province the coridors have gaps on the sides so if you are a dumb heavy trying to bully others frontally like a blind horse who rushed forward this will not work on this map... But it works in the other mentioned maps.  Those gaps also give mediums and light tanks  the opportunity to escape a frontal engagement during end battle if the surviving enemies are 1 or 2 heavy tanks.

 

 

So. Dont remove Province.  Just make small changes.  

 

 

Instead remove other stupid corridor maps.

I think it's purdy and should be kept for tiers 1-5.

It's awfully campy, mostly because those bushes on the spawns are ridiculous because you can hide heavies there and they are borderline unpushable.

 

Make the crossing a bit more safer and remove the massive layers of bushes so that there are only few specific sniper bushes, not a ridiculous jungle that is essentially 4x - 5x bush layers. Just add extra rocks if you are concerned about arty safety. It still wouldn't be a great map but it would be way better for sure.

 

Even then, it probably still should be taken away from tiers 8-10, at least, maybe even tier 6-7.

I want their map department removed. Can't think of a good change they've made in the last few years. They either remove maps or ruin existing maps.

I don't understand why would they remove Widepark, Swamp, Highway or Windstorm. They were all very nice maps.

Not removed but disabled for high tiers, damn things worse than mines.

Al they had to do with those maps was re work or tweak them a little but no they remove them, altogether, ludicrous barely covers it, the way to play province, camp and snipe, preferably in the most OP thing you have, but it doesn't really matter, always a challenge in a TOG, although quite fun I my type 4 heavy:trollface:

I won this one once in my Churchill III. Had to drive to enemy base using that lightning speed to find the remaining campers :-)

 

Anyway this map is the first on my top three worst maps followed by Paris and Overlord. I really miss all those old ones that were mentioned before. And I also miss those "pre-tweaked" ones like Erlenberg. That one we have now is terrible :-(

Overlord is not bad imo, except for beachbobs.

 

Province needs to be large enough, so that your viewrange doesen't reach the other side and the empty area in between should be a village. A huge semi-destroyable village.

It would then be a himmelsdorf with two hills facing each other, but larger and semi-destroyable. Doesen't sound bad to me.

Indeed. Highway and Widstorm were two very different maps that were really fun to play. Especially Highway was great open map, which needed only couple of fixes. 

It was great map for most mediums with tough turrets, good for snipers, amazing for lights, plenty of opportunities and the most unpredictable map of them all. 
You never knew how it will end until well into the last third of the game time, if one team didn't crumble from the start. I had twice done 9 kill victories in a Tiger H there on tier 9 battles, grabbing the victory out of the opponents grasps. (2 vs 10 situations). 

Now we have more tight corridor maps to play with, unsuitable for 90% of the tanks in game.
