If anybody has charrioter or tier 9 and 10 also if he could spare some tips on best way to playing them. I currently freexped top gun on charrioter because going through two stock guns and then 55k more for the top gun is not an option. This was the first time ever that i free xped top gun. Tier 9 i will grind fully without free xp.

What equipment do you use? I have gld, rammer and binos so i can see as far as i can.

Some tips for tier 9,10 also? How do you like the after charrioter. How do you use them? Just as snipers?

Thanks

Using GLD, rammer and optics on the Charioteer. I sold the Conway....didn't like it.
Have the same equipment on the *edited *barn. I switch from shooting from the second / third line to first / second line depending on the MM. Nothing is more surprising to a heavy who wants to get that shot in on an ally and forgets there is a 183mm gun waiting for him.

I don't use binocs because i want to stay mobile.

Which gun did you use on conway?  Was it good?

The smaller one seemed better. Higher alpha is nice and all but it didn't have the rof for my playstyle. It felt like an oversized Charioteer to me.

I had the Charioteer, very enjoyable t8 TD. Think I used rammer, vents and binoculars on it. Plays like a regular supporting TD but has the ability to switch flank with its good speed when necessary. Had some issues with its gun depression, but I had a positive impression in all.

Currently at the Conway, playing it with the smaller caliber gun. The only thing that kills it for me is that it is huge, hence bad camo. But I think it would be too much if it had good camo value. I use vents, rammer and GLD on the Conway.

Cheers

Thanks to both, yeah stats on the big gun on conway seem bad, maybe better stats with less damage is more practical. Charrioter has suprisingly good camo i must say, and thay 360 turret is awesome. Having fun with it

On charioteer, I have optics, rammer, vents (and food). Like a LT it benefits from a highly-skilled crew as camo, and BIA are very useful, as well as view-range skills (make binocs unnecessary) and gun-handling.

You can play it as an aggressive medium if you're very good, but it's high risk as it has slow turret traverse, paper armour and the gun needs to be fully aimed to hit. Safest (for me) is to play as mostly-defensive td and take a forward position when you're pretty sure its safe. Very good tenk, especially with recent and quite unnecessary depression buff. Ignore HESH shell as it seems to be quite unpredictable and doesn't pen even when you think it really should (eg when hitting lights or clickers).

No experience with Conway or Shitbarn.

Just finishing off on the challenger so I will be with this soon. Is it completely different or a natural progression?

They more or less play the same way. As in a medium/TD support hybrid, tho the tier 8 don't have a turret traverse lock with the top gun. It's the tier 9 that stands a bit out vs those two. The medium/TD hybrid style don't work too well on it always. I did try the big gun on it when they buffed it, but it did not work for me. I just kept the stock gun on it, and played the support/bully role with the DPM instead. It works, but less fun vs the tier 8 IMO.

Long- or short-distance combat is generally a good idea for optimizing your advantages. Mediocre gun handling makes mid-range fighting problematic.
Gun handling is not a huge issue when sniping or sticking your gun up someone's exhaust.

Grinding charrioter atm. Dont even try snapshoting or even shooting without fully aiming with the top gun. Its derpy as hell, missing fully aimed shots with it is normal i guess. Dont be surprised.

Wait until you get to tier 10. You can miss the broadside of a barn from the inside with that thing. I still can't understand how i hit the cupola of an E5 then the corner of the turret from up close while we were both more or less moving. :amazed:

What you do is, sell the Failoteer and buy a SkorpionG which is basically a better Failoteer in every aspect.

I played them before the gun changes I think. I've played the Charioteer as a stealthy sniper and did complete the do 4 times your hp in damage mission in it I think.

Strangely enough, I used the Conway up close and personal most the time. On city maps, I was around corners behind heavies, poking around for shots, or trying to track enemies at the corner. Aiming is less of issue when sitting next to the opponent. Well you don't need to fully aim at least.

I still have to buy the tier 10, despite of having it unlocked ages ago. I have so many tier 10 to buy, so I wait for discounts. Besides, I find the death star more handy as you have time to aim  when you can hide your hull. That turret sometimes bounces.
