What else is preview than viewing statistics pre-release?

But you can interpret that from the stats. Only stats that WG doesnt show, like bloom etc. is left out.

Is this tank actually present in any shape or form yet apart from the super test.. and I assume nothing gets leaked from there?

one question remains, when will we see maps that actually allow flanking?

It was put into the live game in last patch but currently hidden from view until it is released which means that the nearly final stats are in the current game files and therefore available to be viewed. Also interesting of note is that you can assign your Buffon to be the Commander of this tank as well (I assume you could do the same for a Female crew member as well).

Looking at the armour model on Tanks.gg (admittedly an incomplete one) the drivers hatch/hump is a huge weak spot from any angle that is not front on and the fighting compartment below the turret (a bit like FV215b) also looks like a weak spot at the right angles. Yeah this thing looks strong head on only if you hide the large lower plate.

So.. the Defender has a bigger LFP and a bad gun but is better suited for close range brawling? And the Czolg would be a better hull down tank at medium ranges or something?

If it is the live server now, why not just release it now?

By the way where do you find out all the pre release information?

Classic marketing tactics, they want to avoid oversaturation of premiums available to buy as they will likely release the RAAC Centurion 5/1 very soon. Plus I guess that they have an idea when they want to release the Polish line and this heavy should precede that by a certain amount of time.

 nearly final stats

And it wouldn't be the first time that WG gave a tank to reviewers with nearly final stats then changed them after the reviews were out there.

Hence the emphasis highlighting exactly that.

We can discuss a lot..but what remains at the end is the fearsome arrival of another power creep at tier 8.

I belive that tier 8 at current time is very troublesome and has lost a lot of balance and fun....we need MM tuning..not another wallet warrior.

There's two ways of looking at the power creep. It gets worse whenever new lines or tanks get introduced which is more noticeable when they add complete fantasy tanks. On the other hand, WG seems to have also perfected the way how they 'monetize' the power creep. If you really want to look at this cynically, the Power creep + MM template = Bigger profits.

Every time player leaves allied cover he becomes flankable. All maps allow flanking in last stages of battle, things not allowing it to do is mostly spot and radio mechanics.

Debatable whether this is power creep.

From the armour model we are getting a new heavy tank with actual genuine weakspots (looks like it has several, lower plate, cupola, drivers hatch, roof overmatch and possibly turret ring) so that for me is a good thing.

Whilst the upper plate is very good, with all the weakspots, frontally in the open it's no harder to deal with than an IS3.

Still should be a good tank but it's not at the level of Defender or VK 1001 P, so that is good in my book.  It looks more the level of an IS3 I reckon, which is still very good but not obsoletes everything on tier good.

It's still going to be very powerful; dome turret with -8 depression (-10 on the sides), good view range (something the Defender don't have), 440 alpha gun that is all around a lot better than the one the Defender except for the pen and it's not extremely slow, either.

If it didn't have low pen, it would completely powercreep the T34 to the ground in absolutely every metric.

Agreed that it won't be as stupid as the Defender / VK 100, though. At very least it's not even close as retardproof as those two because the armor actually requires brain to use.
