Which is a very convenient rule. One would guess its applicability should be more specific, as this exchange is, at most, public information being repeated and not some naming&shaming situation or other.

Nonetheless, the rule will cover this, and serve for nothing else than to avoid scrutiny.

Yes, it is :) btw conversations between a customer and a formal representative of a company cannot be considered "private", if they happen in an official customer support capacity. I had a telecom company pull the same argument in my country only for me to slap them with a counter legal argument, and a letter to a regulator, with a warning that their next such letter will go to the worst yellow press media outlet, for them to be torn apart publicly over and over again. They never mentioned such ludicrous notion again. However, in this forum you could be censored and sanctioned for not abiding by those rules. If this doesn't bother you, go for it.

Naming and shaming rule, I can understand, cause up to a point it make sense to avoid lynch mob mentality directed at someone who turns out to be innocent.

To answer your question, it is allowed to use VPN. I'm not sure how VPN fixed your connection with WG servers (it may be an issue with an external provider connection your ISP uses), but I'm glad it works. High ping is annoying as hell.

In general, those kinds of rules are meant to protect private data, which - in theory - is a good thing.
But here they are ripped out of context to conveniently silence criticism. After all, in contrast to naming and shaming, you here decide yourself to make your private conversation public.

And yes, the quality of the support is a lot worse compared to the early years.

But won't using VPN just make the ping worse?
