Can someone who played the Tier 9 share some thoughts on it. Especially if you grinded it from stock.

I am just about to unlock it but do not have enough free xp to unlock the top gun, so I wonder if I should just wait to accumulate more free xp or grind it with basically a progetto 46 gun.

According to the Stats of the Guns I unlocked the BigGun with Free XP (and Turret too for the 10° Depression).

If you dont have FreeXP your Choice is obviously limited :teethhappy: - I would drive the dailies in it and invest in the TopGun as early as possible.

It's not really necessary to start with the top gun. Even the first one is great and has a much faster reload than the top gun has. The pen is limited, however, just use skill ammo when required. Most important is a good crew.

I finished the Standard B grind today, and bought the tier 10. Standard stock grind was not bad at all, I played with stock gun until I accumulated around 40k XP since I had only around 20k  freexp. My average damage with stock gun was 2250 DPG, ended at around 2800 which is my personal best at tier 9. Very capable tank if played carefully, using the flexible high pen gun, great depression, great mobility and very good camo, but caution is needed because it is just a Leopard with autoreloader so it gets penned by T49 HE and arty. It completely replaced Škoda T50 as my favorite tier 9 because of flexible and interesting autoreloader mechanic and penetration advantage of 20mm which is very important in the current state of game.

268 pen must toned down. It's totally pointless on a semi-autoloader and probably is the reason why the tank is overperforming.

I enjoy this one. Although I did unlock it since I had shed loads of Xmas Gold. I looked at both this and the Skoda but since I liked Progetto and already have a BC I decided the auto re loader would give me a better variety of gameplay.

Fairly small clip and long reload, game doesn't seem to open up until mid to late where lots of enemies can be clipped out.

Has a T10 pen gun with standard ammo which is awesome. Stung a Mauchen via the lower plate.

The stock gun kind of works but the top gun is so much better that I would recommend anyone to get it as fast as you can.

The "trick" with this tank is to remember that you have no armour what so ever. But with 10 degrees of gun depression och a shell velocity of 1450 (top gun) you are a decent sniper.

You only trade with enemies when you can one clip them. (When enemy has 1000 hp left or so).

My winrate is tragic in this tank (43%) but my WN8 in it is 1320. But despite the winrate, it's a pleasent tank to grind.

Yah, I have liked pretty much All of the Tanks in the Line so far.....      The only Hangups have been the Tier 5 and 6.....        I will visit them again one day, I have some Thoughts on the Tier 5 I'd like to try....     But the Tier 6 I just don't see with the Tier 7 being an Oh So Much Better Tank in the Long Run....

As for the Standard B, it's probably one of the VERY Few, and I mean VERY Few, that can be Played Stock just Fine.....        I'm overly Aggressive when I Play mine if I feel I have an Advantage and tend to Forget that RNG has me on the Get Stuffed List....        I don't play it as much as I ought to, I tend to lean on my Tier 8's more than my 9's and 10's....      But with the Marathon, I may just drag the Tarp off it and Knock Off the Dust....

On the NA we also have the 13/105 for our On Track/Top of the Tree, so I'll be doing that as well with my BC 12T....     Gonna be an Interesting Marathon this Run for me....

anyone tell me how to play it?

I hear lots of comments about it being the BEST T9 medium, and admittedly I've only played 7 games in it (missing tracks and radio so really elite) but it just seems meh to me. intershell reload is painfully slow and accuracy is not at all great.

So best strategy ??

It's great tank for sustained fire and putting in cheeky shots when nobody is watching. With the tracks, a mobility and gun handling will improve a bit so that will make platform mobile enough to be where you're needed. It doesn't excel at leading pushes though.

IF you played Leopard PTA, it's pretty much better PTA so try to apply same tic-tacs.

Gonna try again Tonight.....

nah not really. After loving the skoda and Leo,  I can't get used to it. I think it's the autoloader part that annoys me. Aiming at a target and even though you have 1/2 loaded I'm waiting for the clip to reload that 2/3 Rd to reduce the reload. In the skoda it's just shot, shot, shot then run and reload for 20 sec. But if I miss that countdown to reload  you are then waiting 12 sec for a shot.

I will just do the doubles and see what happens when I finish the grind

I also hate the way it's either AP or HEAT - unless you want a 30 sec reload

APCR is really nice though. I don't even know if I loaded HEAT ever. However, if you predict your next enemy, after you dump a clip it's same deal will you load HEAT or APCR so you might as well load HEAT.

Chasing 3MOE, should i put improved vents or improved optics? (alongside with rammer and vstab)?

The crew is 4skill (5th on the way), VR & CAMO are maxed out.

Nice tank, but the gun is very disappointing. Half my shots just miss from point blank, snap shot is impossible with it, you need to aim fully and hope to hit. Accuracy is below average

Sorry for necroposting.

Anyone played this tank after the patch/nerf? I'm farming credits to buy it and I'd like to know its actual performance after the nerf.

I play it after nerf. Before nerf average damage 2300, post nerf around games 300-1400 dmg. Lots of bounce, misses and long reload time to miss or bounce again. Even at medium range 150-200m its possible to miss or bounce on medium tank sides if not fully aimed. To aim fully you need 2-3 seconds stand still.
