Proxy spotting is a feature I love, until I drive my light tank in a bush and some herpaderp tomato drives across the field towards my bush sacrificing his vehicle, then I hate it with a passion.

At times, when I see 3-4 tanks locked down behind hard cover and cannot move just because one enemy tank is really close to them at the other side, and they cannot move without being wrecked and effectively their battle is over, I sometimes think maybe it's a bit harsh and ...

As stated, that's sheeplike sort of behaviour though, isn't it? Not wanting to budge and take a hit which will break the deadlock, but willing to stay trapped and lose. Perhaps players should use some other tactic?

Removal of proxy spotting I think would dumb the game down more, being aware of being proxied is part of situational awareness and how you approach targets.

Plus Mines would be even worse without it, and I'd reckon camping would increase even more.

which really happens in combat

If you want real life then join the army.

I have no idea what happens in real combat, I also have no desire to find out.  I do know that having an enemy tank dive right past you without you seeing it is undesirable in an arcade game.

If you are looking for intellectual stimulation then this game is not for you.
