Ah, here we are; arguably the most loathed, masochistic , debated, and broken tier of all: Tier 8! Cast your vote for what you consider to be the "must-have" non premium tier 8 tanks per tank class to have in your garage, if any! :P

Remember, apart from SPG's you have a max of 2 picks per class. And dont forget to pick one (or more) of the tanks you voted for and comment on why you put it in the must-have list.

Note: Pls dont turn this into another thread of why Tier 8 MM is trash. We know. We agree. Now move along and just vote, even if it is "none".;)

Lights voted B-C 12t as good for personal missions and alround camo, altho for team/SH/CW I prefer the wz -132.

Heavies voted IS3.

Mediums T-44 (no RASHA bias)

TD's voted none, although the Borsig is decent for Personal Missions.

spgs voted none.

Wow, these threads come up faster than I can answer, but okay here we go again:

Like before on T7 I did not choose a single T7 light with the exact same reason. The premium M41 90MM/GF is just better in comparison to the non-premium vehicles, as the light changes did not affect him.

With T8 mediums the Pantera seems like the best option to me, despite the difficult playstyle and new loading mechanic. In terms of statistics it can keep up with every other medium and represents a viable option for everyone that does not have a Progetto. The good gun and mobility are crucial in the current T8 meta and all those evil T10s lusting after your HP. All-time favourite is the Pershing, especially since it got buffed. The gun mantlet can even absorb high tier guns and it prepares you very good for the following up tanks, like the fact that you can boost your performance by playing APCR/Gold only. Worth mentioning, the premium T8 MTs like the Progetto, Lorraine and T-44-100 are better than their regular counterparts and in the current meta there is not much reason to keep T8 tanks anyways. Centurion is also good and I think it comes down the personal preferences between it and Pershing.

Heavies is obviously the IS-3, a literal no-brainer. The Caern is also very good since it got buffed, some would say OP. Yet it is somehow difficult to work with the mobility and acutally bring your DPM on the field.

In terms of TDs there is actually no need for them, with premiums like the Skorp, WZ and even CdA or S1 there is just no use for regular ones. Yet the JP II can keep up with them and the RHM creates a viable option with multiple guns to choose from. The ISU I voted for is just a fun tank to have and play, even without the BL-10.

Arties only 1 option again, M40, or just dont play this class overall.

For lights, LTTB has a good armour compared to the others and it's also quite nimble. As pure scout should be good.

For meds the T-44 is one of the best. Lack in pen compartment, but it's a quite good allrounder.

For HTs, I obviously took the mighty KV-4. That's my favourite HT, better than IS-3 IMO. I know that I'm in a really small group, but that still my choice. ;)

For TD I took ISU, cause 750 alpha it's allways good, even after the nonsense penetration nerf it got...

Arty don't know...

LT: WZ-132

MT: M26 Pershing, T-44

HT: IS-3

TD: Charioteer, T28 Prototype, some would have Rhm-Borsig here instead.

SPG: M40/M43

Don't play Lights or Meds or even Heavies, yes strange I know but everyone to his own.

TDs though... Well UDES, my favourite although 2 seconds into/out of siege mode can be a pain at times. But the camo is fantastic and the top gun can pen most T10s.

ISU or JP both good.

Arty well the Americans.

The IS3 is the standout tank of the tier, probably the US arty too but Ive never played it.

Good topic. My votes:

1) Which tier 8 Light is a must have?

Batchat 12t - because even though it is not as good as 13 90, it's still close to it. It has autoloader, can ambush and deal damage. I feel like dealing damage is more important in lights now than it was before. It is also small and has ok camo so it can be sneaky which is a bonus.

LTTB - because it is a very good active scout/support tank. Mobility is excellent, the gun is not bad at all, and it actually has troll armor. That's a good combination.

2) Which tier 8 Medium is a must have?

Object 416 - because it is so unique. It is a good support tank that has a good gun, mobility and camo rating. It is special so it makes it a must have. It is not easy to play but has a lot of potential.

T-44 - because it is very average in a good way. The armor is ok, the mobility is ok, the gun is fine, it's all around a good tank with nothing really bad about it.

3) Which tier 8 Heavy is a must have?

IS-3 - because the tank is still good even though it used to be a lot stronger. It does feel a bit power creeped because of the new tanks that came in the game and because of bad matchmaking, but it is still strong.

Caernarvon - because of the DPM. It is more like a slower, better Centurion mk 1 - it is a support medium tank that is very dangerous if played properly.

4) Which tier 8 Tank destroyer is a must have?

1) ISU-152 - Even though it doesn't have BL-10 anymore, I think it's still strong and fun and special.

2) Borsig - because it (sort of) has a turret, it is very sneaky with awesome camo and it has a choice of 2 good guns.

5) Which tier 8 SPG is a must have?

Why do you discriminate? I want to vote for 2 SPGs.

M40/M43 - because it is a hidden gem, it has many good things about it and it is a very good SPG (that leads to an excellent SPG).

Lorraine 155 51 - because it's flexible, it has good gun, good reload time and very good mobility.

Lights

I haven't played premiums that much but still WZ is the best non-prem all around.

LTTB is the only tank in the game that (in some games) can basically carry two flanks at once.

Meds:

None. T-44-100 is just better. But I haven't played Pantera.

Heavies

IS-3, VKP.

TDs

None, Skorpion is just better.

Arty:

M40 I guess.
