A frontline map based around say Prokorovka would have been perfect for this.

Large scale battle map to mark the anniversary of a large scale battle.

Depending what daily missions will be this could be nice event.

Although, as it overlap with my vacation I am not sure how many daily missions I will be able to do :(

Damn it!!! This looks like a fun "special" event and I still unable to play the game...

I don't mind if I won't be able to complete enough missions in order to get T-34 Shielded.

I actually would like to have that Kursk "special" medal. I'm one of those who likes "unique" and "special" medals.

Well, summer is not over yet. There's still plenty of time... Too bad that my PC decided to "give up" on this game...

Nice event and considerate that the T-34S is sitting on the 30 point milestone rather than 50 point one - given it's summer holiday season.

Can all 50 missions be completed in the Churchill III or should I buy some of the other vehicles from the list to ease my job?

Well, have none of the historical vehicles since they are all crap. Do have the Matilda premium though :D

So after reading this I have to say.

Not nearly as bad as I thought for the prizes.

The consumables to sell are... Well they are just a minimal credit boost really, not worth mentioning. I'd prefer if WG rather than give consumables gave credits equal to the price of BUYING those consumables because those who don't use them only get half as much from it.

The T-34 Shielded... Yeah it looks pretty, no it's not a good tank. No one really cares for tier 5 tanks to be honest. If it was a tier 6 tank and a good one at that, then it could at least be worth something for skirmishes but as it is, it isn't even a prize worth considering. Wrong tier and not really a good tank anyway.

The style painting is alright, I'll never complain about free permanent camos, however there is only thing I'd like stylings to allow and that is to still allow the changing of the symbols since I like having my national flag on tanks I keep and styles don't allow me that unfortunatly. Maybe an improvement WG can consider for the future regarding tank customisation?

8 days of premium account in total. Now I know many people buy these and don't really care. But this is rather good for the people who don't spend money. This is probably the winner of the entire batch in the whole thing and the one thing that makes me think that this isn't a terrible event.

Free equipment. Also nice and you'll hear no complaints from, however free equipment do is relatively easy to get if you have at least 1 good credit farming tank. If WG really wanted to actually give something nice, perhaps they should consider giving upgraded equipment instead. The ones you obtain with bonds. Anyway it's just a sugestion.

And of course there are the daily missions we don't know which may or may not be worth our time. I imagine most of them will just give more consumables and boosters.

So for the elephant in the room then. We don't know what the missions are so some might be a huge pain in the rear to acomplish. There is the less resistance path with specific tanks (They should have been announced a lot earlier than what they were in case people wanted to have enough time to grin some in particular as well as credits for them) but we still don't know how much easier it will be. I for one hope that there will be no such mission as XP related ones because let's be honest, those tend to be terrible especially for people on lower tiers and people with no premium account (but I'm pretty sure there will be) or missions based on RNG like destry X amount of this type of tanks and such.

Yay free stuff!

Not too excited about the tank though, but it's cool to get these. For some free to play players and tank enthusiasts this must be great.

edit: ooh, lookee I got Churchill lll and Marder 38t murder machine!

My decision depends on daily missions. ;)

But they would be not very hard I hope, because... this event is for bigger online numbers this summer it seems.

We'll see.

I have Pz.IVH, and it seems it would be worth to re-buy T-34 for these missions, if I'll decide to participate.

I like the general idea of the event, but i like less the fact that are DAILY missions, and for the camo i had to gather 50 points, at the rate of 1 per day. And there are 50 days. So i cant miss even one mission. So... yea....

Hmmm...

No tokens or anything of that kind to reduce time playing. And the event is like two months long.

Does WG starting to feel the playerbase bleeding and focuses on player retention rather than attracting new players? We'll see...
