And OP, there are no mods in this game that can provide a player with an unfair advantage.  Any phenomenon that you witness which would suggest the use of a mod that would confer an unfair advantage can be explained by a multitude of other possibilities.

Carry on.

Any information that is exposed to the client can be harvested and used by a mod. Typical game cheats take information that could potentially be available to the player if they were looking at just the right place and time and then holding onto that information and displaying it. This includes things like last known position mods (augmented by the path from any projectile that crosses your information flow), destructible object highlighting (so your map can tell you where someone is breaking even small destructibles), reload timers, turrent projection (to see exactly where someone is pointing all the time), exact internal component locations, etc...

There's also the ability to automate various commands that a player would perform such as shot leading, most penetrable armor exposed location finding, consumable use, etc..

Good players can probably match anything performed by the second category of illegal mods. They can match a certain level of the first mods, but no human can accomplish the same level of information harvesting that is available through some of the first set. You just can't have your camera in enough places at once.

As for what percentage of players actually use mods on either list, I have no idea. I suspect it is fairly rampant in some communities (clans) and utterly nonexistent in others.

If everything in the universe, including atoms and particles stop moving, does time stop? or does time continue even if everything is frozen?

Time is just a thing that works for people with watches. Don't worry about it

I voted 3-5% because I read somewhere, on the internet, that it was that figure based on someones gut feeling.

Therefore it must be true.

It was on the internet.

It was someones gut feeling.

Proof positive.

The only slight niggle of doubt is I havent seen in the Daily Mail yet.

Amusingly enough it was my gut feeling too, and I read no such thing!

I've seldomly noticed anyone cheating, beyond a few clear bots there was no method to determine whether they were cheating or not. Like others have said the important things happen serverside, so even if somebody cheats, it's still entirely possible to outplay them like anyone else. I consider it probable though there are people doing illegal things that I haven't recognized as illegal, so a low percentage seemed right to me. Honestly I'm still feeling I guessed a little high.

Depends what you mean by cheaters and also what time of the day.

There are more exploiters of the rule/game than people who use cheating mods, and more than both of those will be all the Dumb & Toxic. But even larger  % at certain times will be the child who can get called away at any time by mum and dad.

Worst times for the Dumb & Toxic are 5pm till 9pm weekdays and Friday to Sunday inc.

*by Dumb I mean the shoot at you, or push you from bushes, and you can't figure out why, and Toxic are the foul mouths that try to bully you by shooting at you or get you reported as a bot in chat.

Xvm stats provide unfair advantage.

Just like laser pointers from barrels and on minimap.

When you can just re-roll as a cheater, something people here already long accept for stats and when you even get a nice little warning if your mods are detected and then, after the 2nd hit, you can still re-roll.... then what exactly keeps people from being dirty? Being nice? Just the anonymity of this forum shows how 'nice' people truly are. Throw in some little colors, rewards from missions, real life prices, people who might be under worse real life circumstances than you currently think and it almost becomes funny to talk about fair play. To be really honest it would become harder and harder to disagree with them.

Hey no game is different, only their protection and communities are and well... the ones we have right here .... both can expect some remarks. And that is apart from disclosing how this 'automated system' truly handles our protection, that would be going onto a slippery slope to talk about on this forum, but everyone nasty probably knows where this is hinting at. Besides that people can perfect their aimbot, radars, esps, markers, their dirty play, whilst getting warned and being able to re-roll.

And then this is apart from disclosing external cheats and programs as well. People can level up accounts with (afk)bots or combine the two and sell those on ebay or what have you. People can hide external hacks on streams (as long as they don't forget their non-external mods cc). it goes on and on and on. Maybe it takes one to know one, who knows, but be sure that the loudest deniers and finger pointers on any forum are most usually to be found dirty. Take that for what you want, who cares in the end there is no proof on the community side. We can still talk about it though, let's just not try to make extreme claims as it is kinda easy to make uninformed people totally paranoid. Especially when the host isn't dirty of throwing in their own bots ('in other titles', right?).

Everyone have a good Saturday, if it's as sunny as yesterday we are in for a great one! :B
