I haven't played the game in 2-3 months. Since 1.0.1.1 And had no intention to play until Summer passed.

I am here now, posting this while the game updates, cause I received a mail yesterday that I got banned for 1 week for illegal mods use.

Not a single mod. Gaming under Wine Linux at 15 fps with old hardware and giving no importance to competitive gaming.

Updated from 1.0.1.1 to 1.0.2.2 (empty subfolders in res_mods) and... yes. I've been banned. :/

Just to let you now, new premium account with 2 premium tanks, and no mods didn't help.

I know some people insist in their innocence and nobody ever recognises cheating, but... even if I did (that I didn't) I havent played the game!

Anyways don't suffer for me. I'm not really motivated by this game to keep playing it. Will some day do until I finally get banned forever. Won't miss it that much.

Regards,

Capitán Prepucio

well, you're right

Don't remember any real battle after May the 7th. Just a couple of game boots without playing the 16th and 22th.

And only 330 battles total since 1.0 account creation (rerolled after playing in 2014). So not many chances to being caught in a game violation, as I had been playing intensively.

IMMO, this is a cheat mecanism bug. Beware where you put your money ;)

just emphasises why you shouldn't give WG any money. Raise a ticket but I'd be amazed if those buffoons do anythng.other than send you an automated reply. Linux works fine for me using PortWot.

and this is the reason WHY YOU SHOULD ALLWAYS when new patch come, delete game, clean registry (regedit), run ccleaner and after all this make pure install because if u use illegalmods like 2 patch ago there is still marks fror them and they will see it and BOOOM  BAN BAN BAN!!!

Or you could just try not cheating.

Don't assume WG ban people individually as soon as they catch them cheating, this could have been saved up for months until WG decide the time is right for one of the regular big ban waves. Or the OP could have been nailed two months ago in a trawling operation by WG and only recently it has been checked by a human and acted on.

You sound like you are fully experienced at this stuff? Only saying because I can't imagine why anybody would want to give tips on how to avoid being caught as a cheat?

then you cheated in that time before. WG collects cheater data for several months and then bans them all togethet. It's the normal procedure in almost all online games.

And?

We don't know how long they save these bans up before each ban wave.  My guess would be that anyone caught from just before the last ban wave would get their ban in this ban wave.  And you probably don't have to play a battle, mods get loaded in when you load the game up.

Anyway, it's only a failed reroll account with 330 battles, just reroll again and try harder this time.

Its a shame that people who cheat are not banned from the whole of WG, including the forum.

This will stop them whining.

Why would anyone install these mods?

FFS its a 15 v 15 battle and if you havent learned to look at the map where the enemies are, how on earth are these mods ever gonna help you win anything extra??

Apparently they make new accounts to whine on instead, as we have seen in the past.

Is it really that hard to understand what a ban-wave is? They do that every few months, so chances are high that they collect cheaters over all those months or weeks and then ban them all together.

Big Mistake

They might have made a big mistake. Mayby they kept the data of the last banwaves and give some of the same people another ban for the same. This time permanently.

That might explain a lot. I also know someone who stopped playing in Dec. 2017. Picked it up when the last campaign was beginning. Played a week and then stopped again. He also got a ban. His first. If he will be banned again over 3 mounth's without playing again it will not surprise me.

I expect a lot more people who will go complaining.

Another one that thinks paying gives him more rights not to get banned.

well, you're right

You don't get banned on the day when they find it. Banning is in waves. The last one was in February, more or less right before OP made his account. If he "tested" something out back then when his account was new. It's enough to mark him for a ban in the next wave when that happens if they caught him. Don't matter if he has not played for months or not when they get banned. If you're makred, you're marked.

Last ban wave was in Feb 2018. If he played one game after that date and got caught cheating. It's enough to get him banned now. The last 2017 ban wave was before he did stop playing there again. So it's within the Feb 2018 window. As again, don't matter if you have not played for 3 months or not. If you get caught cheating between waves. Be it a week before or 3 months before. You will get banned regardless now. So I don't see how not playing it for a long time as the issue. He got caught in that week that he did play. Simple as that.

Funny logic.

Great evidence that mechanism is working correctly.

It's not WG fault that you failed even with cheats.
