Grinding tanks is boring right?

I unlocked the VK.100.p today and for some reason think I am going to enjoy the grind, what a bouncy baby this is when you angle it correctly, although some of you hardy, steely eyed veteran out there will probably soon put me right on that:D

Others I am grinding are the Type 4.

I play it occasionally, not quite the steel wall I thought it would be, but that's probably down to me

IS-M

I'm a bit hot and cold on this one but am beginning to warm to it

Conqueror

again I am warming to it

Crusader SP

Now I have got used to driving backwards, liking it a lot

T29

Just something about this what does not quite grab me, which is a shame as I am sure it is a good tank

SU 101 M

For some reason this is not a TD which I am warming to at all, hope it changes soon

So c'mon you guys what are you favourite grinds, if indeed there is such a thing:popcorn:

Object 257. Such a troll tank, especaially when top tier. I also quite enjoyed the SP1C towards the end of the grind, I know it isn't supposedly a great light tank but I really started to get a feel for light tank gameplay (which up until now was atrocious) during this one.

Object 430, really nice grind.

@OP i wish you good luck with the VK 100.01P. I hated that slow piece of crap to the core, tbh.

Grinds that I enjoyed the most? Well, here it goes:

Tiger l & Tiger ll: Somehow being an underdog gave me a very good feeling when doing well in these. Both are very good tanks with good guns but poor armor.

IS, IS-2 and IS-3: Learn the "W" maneuver! Forget reason, go and kill *edited*!

Caernarvon & Conqueror: Heavy tanks for the grown ups, I guess. Sensible tanks with a distinct way to play them. Good guns, strong turret, awesome depression. Go crazy with it!

VK30.02M & Panther: I don't know what it was about these tanks but somehow they were just so awesome. Pew pew pew! It still to this day doesn't make any sense!

T20: I promised myself someday I'll buy this back. Imo it's the best mid tier medium tank. Good depression, low profile, good alpha, sneaky too!

Strv74: It's like tier9 gunhandling in a tier6 box. I liked it a lot and at that time I thought it was the best tier6 medium. I was wrong, because that's obviously the ... VK30.01P! BOOM! During the whole grind I never really grasped it's only tier6 tank. I had the ego of a tier7 medium. 220 alpha on a good platform.

T28prot: in a way it's the best heavy tank at tier8. It really is!

All tier 5-9 light tanks I've played have been nice.

What can I say? I like my grinds.

honestly after the 100 it's great, yes you need gold but it pens, reliably.

But then yes, the Maus is kinda pointless nowadays

I only really think of a few tanks that I wholeheartedly enjoyed, and of course, grinding them then comes into play. I didn't like the Hellcat, T29 or Charioteer at all from grinding them but they're some of my most played tanks, though besides the Charioteer I'm not even a big fan of them (T29 In particular is great, but just incredibly boring to actually play). Going up the tiers.

Skoda T 24: This thing took me 35 Games to grind through and despite the bad press for it, I loved it. I won't ever play it again so maybe my opinion with only 35 Games is a bit limited, but I mean, that's all it took for me to grind it so woo. The mobility was amazing, my crew had really good viewrange so I could just laugh at most other players at Tier V And I found the gun mostly quite nice (besides of course the DPM For a 75mm). When my first game was immediately an Ace and I think is still my max damage in it (2.3k), I immediately expected to enjoy the tank.

Jagdpanzer IV: two words, meme DPM. I played it before the pen buffs (though 132 -> 145 Isn't THAT significant anyway), and surely losing the engine to snapshots from frickin M3 Lee's is painful but oh lord the DPM Is just fantastic and was so lovely to actually use it. Hated the shell velocity on it tho, even APCR Didn't feel SIGNIFICANTLY faster.

Jagdpanther: the gun. The gun (10.5cm) is just amazing. IMO It's easily the strongest Tier VII TD. Not really much else to actually say on it compared to like the Skoda description, I just think it was a beautiful tank. It was one of my first 3rd Marks and I didn't even pay attention to it, I just suddenly got it while playing the last few games to elite it and research the Ferdinand (will never play it tho, lol).

T-34/100: similar to the T 24, I rarely hear good things about this thing but I loved it. Compared to the T-34-1 It had an actually workable gun (I couldn't tolerate that at all), and compared to the T20 It has DPM And also didn't feel as utterly trollish. I had 1815 DPG In it which was even me tryharding in it or anything, and that's up there at the highest of my Tier VIIs and I actually think better than most of my VIIIs (because I'm crap in VIIIs).

IS: one word, blitzkrieg. I played it before the likes of the Japanese Heavies and such, which I feel makes it a lot weaker since now it actually has some competent armour to face it, but it's still probably pretty strong nowadays I feel. 390 Alpha on a mobile platform, what isn't there to like. My favourite thing about the tank still was the idea that I made UrQuan of all people reconsider the fact he was platooning his KV-3 With me, along the lines of something-something-stop killing everything before I get there-something. 65 Battles and 78% WR, totally balanced tank.

Skoda T 50: I'm still grinding it, with everything else otherwise being actually fairly old now for me, but there's nothing I can't say I don't like about this thing (maybe just that it's so tall and paper? :P). The autoloader is so much fun and so broken, seriously, I know it's "weak" with 960 Alpha at Tier IX But that doesn't justify giving it such amazing gun handling and whatnot. It's kinda hard to really want to play any of my other IXs when I end up platooning them, and I think I already have a fair portion of the grind to the TVP T 50/51 Done while most of the others are still grinding top modules.

Besides that the only thing worth noting for memes is the 60G FT. One game in it, like 3.4k damage and I immediately just Free XP'd to the Tier VI To immortalise that one game. The WZ-131G and T-34-2G Afterwards are also actually pretty fun, though they're not really good for carrying or anything since paper, turretless TDs that rely mostly on camo.

Pretty much all tier 9s, once they were fully upgraded. Best tier in WOT period.

IS-3 was pretty hilarious to grind. What is power creep, comrade?

Charioteer was pleasant

a lot of tier 6 mediums (A-43, VK 30.02 M etc)

The last grind that surprised me as fun was actually the T95. I also enjoyed T28 and T25/2.
Grinding T95 and Object 263 at the same time? Really highlights how crap and useless the 263 really is

Spoiler

I don't get how people (if they even are people) fail to understand that they can get out of this  kind of situations by driving to a wall/rock/something.

I've seen tanks get circled by light tanks multiple times while staying 10 meters from a building >.<

Problem is the guy was too far from any obstacle. And if you look at the stats the player is a 24k 45% 446WN8 who got almost 3.5k damage, 5 kills and bounced 2.5k that game because he drove a broken tank. P2W  :coin:

But there are rocks in front of him. You can see them early in the clip. He should easily be able to go there. But then again. 45% 446wn8....
