Some seem to be struggling with the concept, so let me explain.

When someone has added you to their list of muppets they would rather not interact with, that means there isn't any point in quoting their posts.

Just thought I would clear that up for the slower members of the group :)

I'm not sure.

I suppose there could be one, or maybe even two variants on the theme. One could block a punt for example, or maybe block a toilet, verbal or otherwise:)

Personally I'd have sent someone a nice polite PM telling them this, rather than clogging up the forum with emotional baggage.

But then I don't have anyone on my blocked list as you never know when someone might say something intelligent or funny.

Even Raspad had his moments.

The problem is that you don't see if you managed to end up on said mupped list for one reason or another. Neither here, nor in the game. Or all the muppets who claimed to have blacklisted me were lying...

Does this imply that you are, in some way or another, checking up on said 'muppets'?

Also, from experience I've seen similar terms applied to those not sharing the same opinion (and/or with a superior sense of argumentation). Is this the case here, or am I mistaken?

(The real question here is, obviously, how we will manage to make this topic constructive and sprouty on-topic.)

Unfortunately, blocking them doesn't stop notifications popping up:(

You're probably not mistaken but, as requested, back on Topic

That must be a bug. Hardly surprising, but still a major annoyance. Guess turning off the notifications is a decent way out of standing by one's posts. :P

Anyway, now I'm hungry. And confused - is that a Mars or a Snickers bar? Why don't I have any on hand? Why.... zzzz.

Presumably if you've added someone to your blocked list then you wont see their posts unless you click on the view anyway button, so if you don't it shouldn't bother you, right?  Perhaps it's just your good self that's struggling with the concept?

Maybe keep off topic threads on off topic section instead of clogging this one up?!

I think he clearly had a sneaky peak at a post and got triggered.

Blocking people does stop the notifications coming up.  Weird that he'd say otherwise, but then he also thinks the onus is on the person he's blocked, rather than himself, if he wishes to cease all communication.  It's an odd perspective that includes replying to posts not counting just as long as you don't actually quote them.
