I want to buy this tank but I think its a bit expensive. Is it worth? I heard its not too fun and reliable like it was 3-4 years ago like the e-25. Is the tank still strong?

It depends on several factors

If you like playing SPGs then yes its a fairly decent strong in some areas SPG and it will train French SPG crews if again that is something you want then yes its good.

Advantages over current SPGs are simple it has a high rate of fire "about 50% up on other tier 5s" can use AP and HEAT as well as the HE other SPGS use.

This can be useful, the HE shells will do some damage with a near miss AP and HEAT do nothing unless they hit but if they do hit they can be devastating.

ALL SPGS except the premium ones had pen and damage halved and had already seen their view ranges nerfed.

390 view is useful if you like going TD mode or just run out of spotters 410 damage is reasonable for tier 5 and 53 pen is excellent.

SO decent SPG/TD that is worth it IF you like SPGs already and or intend to grind the French SPG line

They no longer try to balance the game it seems, just milking this cow dry.

I'm sure we can all agree by now that if they can find a new way to annoy their existing players they'll certainly give it a go.

They'll probably release tier 11 tanks at some point & then the un-nerfed defender will end up as a tier 7 in the reshuffle, but will fortunately be available to everyone to purchase in that years mystery box thing at christmas.  This will all be completely balanced & fine, because the stats on the RU server show WG that people enjoy playing it. :amazed:

What were we talking about again?

Aww I guess you'll have to play something other than Tier 5 for a change.

It is the most OP arty in the game,
To my mind it's the most OP Tier 5 vehicle in the game (some T7 heavy tanks are a problem but in any T7 game there are 12 T6 or T5 tanks you can blow up)

It makes loads of credits - according to VB addict it's the top credit maker of any tank up to Tier 8

All in all it's the most fun you can have playing Arty...

You just have to make your own mind up whether you want to play arty

It is easier to do 1k dmg with tier 4 td than this arty. I have lefh from some wot card game(i paid less than 10 euros) for over a year and i rarely use it bcz arties are boring especially this one bcz even if u hit directly heavy armored tank u do less than 100 dmg or even you may hear we didnt penetrate their armor with HE and dont ever aim for oni front(max 10-20 dmg). It is good arty to do missions which require modules hits and to make kv-1's drivers hit their keyboards with baseball bats.

It's not a bad SPG, but it's not worth 30 euro's. I bought mine for about 10-15 euro some years ago.

If you haven't played any arty yet, you better go the American SPG line, there are a lot of "noob" friendly SPG in that line.

Aside from this obvious fact, are there better options for premium arty?

I find 30€ to be quite a lot for a tier5 premium that doesn't really make all that much credits.

I wouldn't recommend it. It's not great for crew training as it only takes 4 crew while most of the regular French arty need at least 5. Ok, one of those is usually a duplicated role (i.e. two gunners or two loaders) but it means you'll have to rotate your crews in the premium to give them training. Even then it's not great thanks to the lower returns in tier 5, particularly as you'll usually be gifting half your xp to whoever spotted for you.

Credit earning isn't marvellous (you also give half of that to the spotter) and the gun trolls you as much as it does your targets. It's an SPG that's ridiculously sensitive to positioning, park it across a slope and your shots will deviate from the aim point so you have to find the flattest terrain possible. It's also as slow as a tier 4 heavy so you won't be relocating quickly.

Yes, it still has the old arty HE pen but it's French HE, so don't think you'll be worrying anything with any armour. You also get the choice of HEAT or AP, though that's more a choice of which you'd rather waste your credits on because they're next to useless and always were.

The only real plus is that it can reload incredibly quickly - 7.5s with rammer, BiA and food - so you can spam a target and keep them perma-tracked but you also have limited ammo so you can't even do that too often.

I've reached tier 9 in the regular French arty and while I have a BiA crew for my lefH, when I buy a new regular SPG I put a fresh 75% crew in it because it's more convenient than all the faffing about using the premium entails. It can be fun once in a while but for the price they're asking, there are many better deals.

I have found it more powerful in tier VII games because the speed of lower tier games are hard to handle. But it's good fun to harass Churchills and japanese superheavies... what I try to say is that  its low shell velocity might be a problem, everything else is manageable. I have got two Fadin's medals in that thing!

You need to feed the crew strong coffee or the shots will miss way too often. That is 20000 silver per game.

Just saying.

Long answer, no.. its really not.... its not powercrept but you have to 100% hit the tank or you do 0 damage due to 0 splash, kinda annoying. i missed a O-NI 5 times stationary before.. even with that accuracy and reload its really bad.

Its a neat little arty and i would suggest getting it if 1) you are an arty player and/or 2) a collector like me :D

All but stopped playing SPGs now though I may on occasion try to complete some personal missions.

Yes the 4 man crew is a problem but its a very minor one, nowhere near the problems you get for instance where you need to train a crew member that just does not exist on the premium.

Play game in 105leFH using loader 1 from your French SPG, then play another game with loader 2 or just remember to swap loaders occasionally so they keep up.

You don't have much choice anyway as there are only 2 premium SPGs in the game 1 french 1 British.

It is overpriced deliberately so, I bought the Type 59 for £23 if they brought it back on sale I would be very surprised if it was sold for less than £50.

Price has to take into consideration how much the playerbase want something and roughly how many they want to enter the game.

leFH carries 42 rounds thats considerably more than any other tier 5 SPG

Ammo it might be tempting to get this because it still has AP and HEAT well ok yes it does but its somewhat limited.

The HE has 53 pen and costs 120 credits

AP has 64 pen at 100 meters and also costs 120 credits I really doubt its worth carrying it instead of HE

HEAT has 104 pen which sounds great and it is pretty good on some targets but it costs 4000 credits and with the 0.74 accuracy you are not exactly able to aim.

SO its a general shot that will either hit the top deck which the HE would have gone through or sit the tracks and do nothing.

Its useful in TD mode and at close to medium range but the added cost means you don't really want to carry many if any.

Its a tier 5 SPG with plenty of cheap ammo and its very annoying to face if you are in a slow tank.

Buy if you like arty or collect rare tanks

lefH doesn't have a Radio Operator, so you're saying it's a very minor problem except where it's a major problem when you want to train crews for the tier 7 and 9 regular SPGs?

OK maybe I explained it badly or you understood it badly ;)

When you are training crews it is a real problem if you have a crew member that just cannot be used in the premium so yes if your standard tank has a radio operator and the premium doesnt there is no way to train it.

However if its a minor problem like 2 loaders you just swap them around but you are able to train all the crew members of the standard tank.
