Simple question;

How come when someone decides to spam pin the mini-map he can do it continuously without stopping, but when I want to use the " T " to ask for support fire or F8 to indicate I reload, etc I get a message that I can't do it for 5.0 seconds or 8.0 seconds?

Like what, you can spam with useless info but when you want to let your team mate that you need 20 sec reload, then 10 sec reload, then 5 sec reload, then 0 sec and you are loaded on the E100 you can't do it more than 2-3 times because the game stops you since you are spamming, but when someone spams the mini map for 5 or 10 freaking minutes because he thinks someone should have played "his" way or because someone is camping the game lets him because that's useful?!? Cluttering the messages and not letting anyone to communicate and distracting them...

It's infuriating!!! Can we fix it WG?

WG logic. As simple as that.
We requested a measure against ping spammers countless times already...

You mean you actually play with the mini-map turned on ?

What? Is it a hack? Should I remove it or WG will ban me for cheating for knowing where the enemy is/was at or moving to?

This could easily be solved by removing the ability for dead players to interact with the rest of us still in the game.

MAYBE then, we can have cross-team chat back...

No, thanks.

Just give the mappings a cooldown and ban spamming and raging idiots more often. Problem solved. No need for further castration.

Why would you want cross team chat back unless it's to troll?

Going by some PM's I've had it appears they'd already had the operation if they had any in the first instance.

Do you really think post-mortem comms is anything other than bad tempered children venting their spleens?

Yes. There are people who, every now and then, use the post-mortem chat to help the team. I also rant here and there, no question, but castrating the social aspects of a multiplayergame is a rather bad idea.

Exactly, they are out of the game and should have no more input!

As long as you put them in between the pixels you're fine

Well, that's why I'm suggesting we reinstate cross-team chat.

And, lets be brutally honest here, even if (and that's a HUGE if) the remaining players pay attention, you could probably count the instances of positive post-mortem comms on one hand.

I think I could play a lot better if I didn't have self-important gonzos constantly advising me about their reload times.  I look at chat and see nothing but bumf.
"Reloading, 30 secs left"
"Arty x hit me, he is reloading for 28.765211 seconds"
etc etc ad nauseum.

Why?  Why does NO-ONE ever tell me anything useful?  I read this stuff, and it distracts me.  I'm sure I'd be purple if it wasn't for annoying reload messages.

I really don't know but I don't see a big problem in implementing a flood control like many other games provide. So if somebody uses the chat (for whatever) in a too high frequence, he will get a r/o first for 30 seconds, then for 2 minutes and if he still feels the urge to spam the chat like no tomorrow, he'll be forced to keep quiet for 24 hours. This should be easily doable for a company who managed to implement an automatic system for team damage/kill.

The odd thing is that back in 7.9 or 8.1 or when it was. They had a spam filter for pings . You got 5 pings and then you had a 10 sec cooldown. Then next patch it suddenly went away. No idea why. There was a topic someone found and linked the last time someone asked about this that showed the rage frenzy that followed it's removal. But I can't find neither topic atm.
