Simply because implementation of the 3/5/7 MM template has coincided with an unprecedented drop off in game activity. Being bottom tier so much just isnt much fun it seems. Maybe +1/-1 MM is the solution on a 10/5 or 9/6 template?

The major obstacle to +1/-1 up to this point has been the fact that you'd be screwing over the Pref MM tanks. But recently WG have told us they intend to deal with that obstacle by removing Pref MM due to complicated [imaginary] tier 8 match making issues. Thus paving the way for a less bottom heavy and player repelent MM system.

Just my personal tinfoil hat theory.

Edit: The game activity drop off I'm talking about is from the Wot-news figures not just personal observation.

Is this a wishful thinking thread?

I'm going for world peas, apparently everyone having peas is a good thing!

That would be the logical solution, but then you have Wargaming apparently really wanting 3-5-7 to work because it creates "memorable experiences".

Numbers/activity is not necessarily better than having a bunch of players hooked on "memorable experiences".

Predictions are testable.

I just want to stop getting Tier IV battles in my Hellcat. Tier VIII doesn't bother me as much but +1/-1 MM is very welcome.

I thought the 3/5/7 was about creating a nice warm environment in tiers 9 & 10 where players have to spend the most money on gold and premium time with the unforeseen [totally obvious] consequence of p***ing off the poor plebs.

Footnote 1. - Memorable experiences have been excluded from this calculation.

I can categorically say tier 4 games in my Hellcat are not an issue for me. Maybe we can enter into some kind of Hellcat MM swap deal?

I know right. They kinda trundled along the same for years, then this 3/5/7 thing and boom! historically bad. That's what makes me pretty sure they'll do something about it.

Doesn't a video entitled 'dreams will come alive' rather work to my advantage here?

The only "memorable experience" i got from this 3-5-7 crap is WG creating a problem that didn't exist in the first place, make us suffer it for sometime and then remove it to makes us happy and paying again. Noam Chomsky refers to this as the "problem-reaction-solution" strategy.

All I can say is I sure as hell hope not.

This would dumb down the game even more and take away allot of the challenge.

But that's just me probably

They would have to then buff all the pmm tanks anyway because its that or nerf all the standard mm tanks.

Its trying to fix a problem caused by a change that doesn't work by trying out some more changes to other parts of the game in the hopes it fixes whats wrong

They will probably go for a compromise and see how it works out which would be frontline returning.

Front Line showed that +1MM was very viable.
