Hi tankers!

As per title: which Soviet (LT?) premium tank is best suited for training T7-9 regular Soviet LTs? I am currently on the MT-25, which I stuck a fresh 100% crew in and they just completed their first skill (camo - reset the commander to Sixth Sense and started his second on camo again). I could transfer them to the LTG when I unlock it, but I'd rather train up some crews for the follow-on LTs in a premium tank, but none of the 4-man premium LT tanks' crew loadout match those of the T7-9 regular tanks:

LTG, LTTB and T-54 ltwt crews: Commander, Driver, Gunner, Loader (R.O.). Looking at the premium LTs with 4-men crew - BT-SV, M3 Light, T-127*, but they all lack a Loader, so not useful methinks? So what do / did you guys and gals use as a crew trainer? Or do/did you use a MT premium and change the crews over once they got up to 2-3 skills?

Thanks

Dutch

*The T-127 is the only one available in the premium shop.

There is no other.. WG know LT's are garbage and dont sell well enough. but thats to do with WG's devs thinking same tier LT's should get worse everything in exchange for camo on the move, and thats simply not good enough.

The Valentine II has a loader but no gunner so you could use that with ACT in combination with something else.

Problem is the redundant radioman will suck up a lot of exp unless you have a spare, well trained one you can use.

On the three crew LTs, there's also the BT-7 Artillery, which is available in the shop this month, and the Tetrach. However, they also have a crew of three - Commander (RO), Gunner (Loader), Driver. These are not a bad match up for a Tier X crew, though not so good for lower tiers. I have the T-100 LT, and all the Soviet premium lights except the M3, so I have a Radio Operator who does nothing except wait for the BT-SV/T-127 to go into battle, and a loader who sits waiting for the Valentine II or LTP to fight.

I use the combination LTP/Tetrach as the LTP does not have a dedicated gunner.

Later on I think I will just use the whole crew of the Tetrarch for the tier 10 light as they have the same 3 man crew layout (mostly)

T-127 is fun to play so I guess that's the best trainer.

That's what i would do, especially since you have the T-44-100 and can grind credits at the same time.

bit offtopic:

There already is a T8 soviet premium light with suitable crew layout for soviet T7-9 in the gamefiles.

https://tanks.gg/tank/t-44-ltwt

It was added to Supertest a year ago.

However WG has not made it available for purchase yet. Even though it would fit almost perfectly as a crewtrainer for this line.:amazed:

Well, I have 7 premium Russian lights. All on tier 2 to 4. And I used all of them on a daily run when I did train the T-54 ltwt crew up. Only two of those have a loader slot, the Valentine II and the LTP. You already have the Valentine II on your list I see. And you have the Tetrarch that has the gunner slot the Valentine II don't have. So you get all 4 slots on your high tiers on those two alone. Of if you don't have those anymore. The T-127 has the same slots as the Tetrarch to cover the gunner, plus the radio slot that none of the high tiers have anyway. Valentine is still in the tech tree for gold.

Sure you can use the med option as you have two medium trainers. So in that case it's more on whom you get more XP on pr game to get the crew up faster. Tho I'm fairly sure the T-44-100/T-34-85M option is not a terrible idea either way, as you do get more income from it vs the lower tiers. So that's a bonus.

None, just play the tech-tree tanks with 300% crew exp, you should get 3 crew skills by the time tier 9 is researched. And use "Increased Focus" directive until u have 6th sense.

Well, I just played over 600 games in the T-50 to train my crew to 2nd skill 45% (including retraining commander for sixth sense) and put that crew into my LTG. Played the MT-25 with 75% crew. :)

They'll release the T-44 Lwt at some point in the future.

Personally I do enjoy the LTG and LTTB a lot.

One of the reasons I never got into lights (maybe I should be happy about that now luls) and it never changed... and really to get the most sane vehicle for heavies even, you have to wait for a 'special' as well. And after that when you finally got it they get power-creepd.

Anyway never understood that the tech-tree premium lay-outs don't really fit here.

The 30,500 bundle might have been the better crew-trainer option after all.
