Come take a look at our new collector's gem, dedicated to a very Canadian American medium tank!

You sold this one recently as well.

If you are struggling for ideas here are ones you haven't sold recently.

IS3A, Defender, Kanonenjagdpanzer, Chrysler K GF,

Failing that you could always put up for sell some of the rare vehicles such as SU 76i or M3 Light as it seems nothing is of the table these days.

Also, why not sell some of those unique clan vehicles as well.  Go on you know it makes sense.  Just think of the money.

I quite like the Ram. Armour can be trollish, but is generally unreliable like all Sherman variants. That RoF though when you catch someone in their sides. :playing:

I always love seeing a Ram in the game, free exp/credits more or less.

Aside from the Ram II being in the wrong nations tech tree (historically speaking, it really ought to be in the British line up rather than the American one), it seems to me that the Ram II is effectively inferior to that other 6-pdr equipped Tier 5 premium, the Churchill III, in almost every way apart from in the Mobility category (and presumably also in the Concealment category).

And of course the Churchill III is a Pref. MM tank, while the Ram II clearly isn't.

Because of this, I have to wonder is the Ram II actually worth getting at £7? The honest answer to which is very likely, no, not really.

Yes, it is quite good to see on the enemy team

That is more or less one less player you have to worry about.

I quite like it. Armour can be troll - lower tiers you can bully (except for TDs). Pen is not that good, so needs to load a bit of gold for the inevitable bottom tier games (play support, flank, perma track etc). Like all tanks, know your strengths and weaknesses. WoT wiki sums it up pretty well:

Performance

This tank has good armor, a rapid-fire gun, and good maneuverability, but it's not very fast. It's very effective at taking on lower tier opponents and can do fairly well against its own tier, it can often win, either by using its superior armor or its better agility; all the while pounding away with its 6pdr (one shot every 2 seconds approximately). However the low penetration of its gun leaves it relatively ineffective against higher tier opponents. This can be compensated for somewhat by using premium shells, but whether it's worth it or not is up to you. Typically you see the Ram-II serving a support role. Its high rate of fire makes it good at taking out enemy scouts that try to take out friendly artillery. In some higher tier matches, it may serve in a scouting role.

The Ram-II has a glaring weak spot on the front armor, in the form of the small machine gun turret. Knowing this, it is best to keep the hull hidden behind solid cover when engaging enemies. Also, like the T26E4 Super Pershing, there is a weakspot where the axles join the hull which quickly leads to engine damage and fire if you opponent can hit it. Try to keep it hidden if at all possible.

The Ram-II's matchmaking is not as good as its heavier counterpart, the T14. With this in mind, the QF 6 Pounder will quickly become obsolete if put in higher tier matches, as it cannot penetrate anything with 120+mm armor. Instead of frontal attacks, hit enemy tanks on the flank or on any prominent weak spot in these situations. Sniping is negated due to the relative inaccuracy of the tank.

Compared to the M7, the Ram-II trades speed for a huge increase in survivability and keeps roughly the same firepower. It functions much like the T1 Heavy Tank: as a slow support tank that utilizes its high rate of fire to pound away at enemy armor. It is also comparable to a faster, lighter Churchill III.

And once again, Ram II.. hurraay.... and what about the SU-85I, FCM 36 Pak 40, FCM 50t, M4A2E4, Grobtraktor, Type 62, M3 Light, WZ-111, FV201 (A45), Pz. IV S., Kanonenjagdpanzer? Those are not 'op tanks', but they are good choices for a "Collector's gem of the Week" imho (maybe the FCM 36 Pak 40 is a bit op now but after the leFH arty sales... it's not THAT painfull).

I beg to differ on two accounts:

SU-85i and PAK 40 - both of these are extremely powerful. While they do have their drawbacks, they are ridiculously powerful nowadays.

The PAK for example has about the same vierange as a tier 8 light, old td camo and a great gun. Imagine a UE 57 on (its weight in) steroids and with gun depression.

since this tank is back at the shop again its a good time to ask a question that i asked before but went unanswered

i bought this tank my self  before than this resale and due to the fact of not being active during 2013 to 2015, i have no idea about how this tank was back then .

Ram II's penetration, dispersion, gun  handling, depression ,view range and of course the most important part Hit points indicates that  this tank was a Preferential Match making tank.... but it faces tier 7

correct me if iam wrong was this tank a PMM??

Ah well, you are right... FV201 was on sale in April and Pz. IV S. was in May, Type 62 was on sale on the military parade event... my bad, I did not look after it. :D

And yes, M3 Light was the gift after you finished the training course. I've had one too, but I sold it.... I was a beginner back then, this is my only excuse for it.

I looked after a bit, and found that the M4A2E4 was a gift tank: This tank was awarded to players who managed at least 1,000 battles during Beta testing.

...but still, I want to buy a SU-85I :D
