A poll for those who played FL the first time round.

I think the credit generation played a part in making this a popular game mode, how much of a part I'm not sure.

I don't care what the cred generation is, seeing is that there isn't really any other tanks i need to grind other than with just a little free xp

and it's the only mode with a really good map

and there's no stat pressure, just shoot tank -> damage tank -> destroy tank -> fun, i say bring it on :great:

I liked the fact it took some different styles and tanks to work as a team. tanks that did or do poorly in randoms, get a lease of life within frontline, and those that are consistently complained about such as the jap heavies and defender, got a bit of a backside kicking

ill play whatever the credit income is, it was a decent gamemode, decent maps (I consider it different maps, given its 9? or 12? and each one isn't mirrored) and many opportunities to do things that other maps don't let you such as flanking or ambushing

I doubt I'll be playing it when it returns, I grew more tired of it in the battles I played until I reached lvl 30 than I've done of randoms in 28.000 battles. If they boost income to overkill levels I might play a few whenever I'm in need of credits, but that's unlikely to happen.

I just felt that all the team errors got augmentet compared to randoms, and that the ordeal just lasted longer.

I want to play Frontline with tier VI, VII and IX tanks. Not only tier VIII.

For X we have Grand Battles.

I don't care about the credit making but i will play to grind more experience.

The only downside is: the games take too long. 2-3 games per hour.

It's not feasible to use boosters.

One map is boring.

Whoever thought introducing bigger maps solves the problems the small maps cause is naive. As long as WG keeps the same map design problems will stay the same in fact they made it worse giving out recon, bomber and arty consumables. What are the maps bigger for in the first place when you can't maneuver because recon flights are spammed every other minute? This was a map size where LTs could shine finally being able to do some recon work but nope let's make them obsolete with recon planes.

Same problem with GB. Bigger maps with the same corridors and half the area open death zones.

I also voted all options because reasons.

That... depends on what they have fixed on the map more than anything. I don't care if it's a different tier even. If the same map issues reside. It won't last long for me again this time. And... if they add more then one map. As playing on the same map a few hours in a row got old fast. Even tho the credits was good.

Liked it just the way it was, but after reaching level 30 the fourth time and having received all the rewards, including the final 1000 bonds, there was no reason to play it anymore. If there'd been more rewards I might have played for the final 2 weeks.

I only played it for credits and will surely play it less if the reward is not on the same level as the effort and time investement. Yet I think even if they nerf the credit income, a full lineup of T8 premium vehicles with additional personal reserves, premium account and clan boost will still make a ton of credits, just not that much as before. Nothing to grind, not even crews so unless the polish line or a polish T8 vehicle will be introduced before the launch of the second Frontline season, I dont have any reason to play it as before if the credits are nerfed.

I actually stopped playing FL after maxing out the ranks. After that it got slightly boring because of the one single map. If credit gain will drop, I would really think twice to play it more than once in a while.

Same here. I need to have a goal to play those gamemodes so when reached lvl30 4 times the goal was gone and hardly played FL after that.

Frontlines was already pretty expensive to begin with so if they make it even less profitable I won't play it much.

Playing with a standard account and standard vehicles only it was very hard to even make a profit.

I made a massive amount of credits and played through to level 30 three times to get all the 1945 camos.   I found I enjoyed it far more than randoms.  Main reason being the tanks were balanced to the same tier and I was able to bring in just premium tanks which performed quite well.  T26E5 shone as did my Ripper Patton.

Really not been playing WoT all that much compared to WoWS.  The removal of FL has a lot to do with that.

I can understand why WG think it was too lucrative in credits.  I've enough money to buy the next three Tier X vehicles the moment I unlock them. There need to be rewards but it needn't be credits as long as it is something of value.

I would play it, at least to grind some tier 8s. Hell even full stock grinds felt okay with this full tier8 MM.

FL was a great success for wg since the first step of tests in the closed beta server one year ago, with tier X was terrible but with T8 is amazing and you can earn good credits/free exp playing premium tanks (and is also perfect to grind normal tanks)

so yes, give us back this mode (and add 2 or 3 more maps for this mode like in the first closed beta test with tier X) and i will play tier 8 again

I would say it depends on some major factors, mostly on how much it would be reduced? For example if I would get 200k, but after lowering it would be 100k, I really do not think it would be worth to play this mode. If it would be 180k after lowering, then if they would address things that bothered me I do not see reason why to play extra less.

Still I do not see any reason to lower it - pretty much as Cobra6 said - only nonsense was combination of premium tanks with premium account with credit boosters on.

Not sure if this should be made other mode where boosters cannot be used but it would pretty much completely solve profitability problem as without boosters I really do not see any issue with this...

Frontline was only disproportionally profitable if you could stack the bonuses, boosters plus a stable of premium vehicles combined with consistent good damage output. I used it to get xp on a few nonpremium tanks and when I used those my income was drastically lower, if it existed at all. The income curve could probably use some tweaking on the high end but an overall income nerf would be detrimental to the mode as many players would just have a credit loss. A Frontline game coudl easily last as long as 3 randoms and net you about as many credits as 3 randoms, with the caveat that being able to respawn means you're generally able to deal more damage and thus earn more credits per game.

I'd also really like it to be a permanent mode when it comes back, perhaps with a monthly (or longer) tier-reward-reset. My last games of Frontline weren't fun because it felt like something I "had" to do, get the rewards while the mode is here 'cause if I don't do it now, I'm missing out (1k bonds isn't nothing). I'd rather have it exist as a permanent mode with less hefty top-end rewards that you can play whenever you want to.

This. There was nothing special about FL economy. You was just facing tanks you could pen with standard ammo and there was no reason for tryharding.

Which only proves that FL is not really that good and shows how bad current MM / tX balance is.
