Hiya tankers!

I regularly see posts by people wondering which premium is a good credit maker, is considered beginner / noob-friendly, trains a crew well, great for personal missions, or is considered "the best" (i.e. P2W) etc etc. So, following up from my previous posts regarding which non premium tanks per tier and class were considered must-haves (see link), I figured I would start another poll, but this time regarding nice-to-have(N2H)* premium tanks, continuing from the Light Tanks (see link below) with Medium Tanks.

Btw: If you have any suggestions to improve the poll, including if and how I am going to showcase the final results, let me know!

Also, please highlight why you picked those tanks as N2H. Maybe one is iconic? Maybe another is just pure fun no matter the MM and / or outcome? Maybe that one is perfect for crew training due to (hidden) modifiers, and another prints credits, etc etc. Help a noob the players understand why you made whatever choice you made for premium tanks to be labelled N2H.

Note: I tried to exclude those premiums that are not available to the general public either once a year, through vote for your dream tank specials, or the regular premium store, but I could have missed one so please let me know when I forgot to include or exclude something!

Excluded:

- Pz.Kpfw.V/IV

- T23E3

- T-44-122

- Chieftain/T95

- T95E2

- T55A

- M60

- 121B

- Obj. 907

- T-22 Medium

- T95E6

Thanks for voting!

~Dutch

* I say nice-to-have in stead of must-have like I did with the regular tank tree polls, because those you can acquire as a f2p player, and I am not going to encourage / endorse people spending actual money due to perceived peer pressure. Whether you want to & will spend money on this game is entirely up to you.

Link to which premium HT is considered N2H: http://forum.worldof...ss-heavy-tanks/

Link to which premium TD is considered N2H: http://forum.worldof...ank-destroyers/

Note: Maybe too much to hope for, but please refrain from negatively commenting on each other's highlighted tank. This is not intended to be a thread to discuss the pen & alpha of tank A vs tank B and thus why you think tank B is better etc, and definately not a rage-topic about 3-5-7 MM or PMM. If you disagree with someone, just close the thread and read something else. GL & HF!

Pz.Kpfw. IV hydrostat. (GER Tier V) - relaxing to play as comfortable gun depression, although actually not very good.

M4A3E8 Fury (USA Tier VI) - my personal favourite of the premium Shermans.

Cromwell B (UK Tier VI) - speed!

T-34-85M (USSR Tier VI) - Best tank in tier VI?

Panther/M10 (GER Tier VII) - so much better after the buffs.

Type 59 (CHN Tier VIII) - From when I first bought it back in 2012, when it was hilariously good due to the match making. Not so good now.

Lorraine 40 t (FRA Tier VIII) and Progetto M35 mod. 46 (ITA Tier VIII) = good in Frontlines.

Most of the tier 8s are not worth it, I'd say only Lorraine, Progetto, Type 59 and T-44-100 are probably worth it.

Lot more options on tier 6 for fun tanks, probably because having a good crew on a tier 6 can make most tanks good.

I presume you missed the other CW reward tanks, don't get why there is a 121b and nothing else?

Because the poll formt limits me to 50 answers per question and there are 51 tanks available to be voted for...

EDIT: Mis-read the WoT wiki page which I used as my source to compile the lists. Removed the 121B (CW Tier X tank) from the poll and added to the Excluded list.

Only have the CDC, which will definitely NOT get my vote. Maybe if you make another poll about best looking tanks ;)

I Have quite a few of those tanks 28 in fact  and like many of them, though some have proven less than wonderful maybe have a poll of which ones would you not buy and why.

T-28E with F-30 This is really all about the gun while speed and armour may be average having an 85mm gun at this tier means you can one shot many tanks HE can be very effective.

M4A3E8 Thunderbolt VII Good armour fast firing gun its pretty much a jumbo Sherman M4a3e2 comes with a Berlin Crew

Cromwell B Cromwell is an excellent fast medium tank and this is almost identical So good tank and crew trainer for the British mediums and another belin crew tank

Pudel (POL Well I needed a crew trainer for the Polish tanks and this is it. Its a stock panther a tier lower pretty close to the VK30-02M gun and armour are both decent for the tier.

T-34-85 Rudy Premium T34-85 plus its the tank from the TV series 4 men and a tank and even carries the dog they had in that tank. Loved the series and the Standard T34-85 yet another belin crew tank

Lorraine 40 t I like autoloaders this one is pretty good and trains my BC25 crews

M4A1 Revalorisé Terrible armour for a tier 8 medium superb gun ok standard ammo not fantastic pen so use premium when you hit problems.

390 damage shell velocity are great plus points.

T-54 first prototype Been buffed a few times since I bought it and I liked it before the buffs, a good solid soviet medium with armour thats fairly reliable and being small its got decent camo.

T-28E F-30 - monster of a gun on a tier4 medium tank. The platform is sort of tricky but on a good game, this can carry like no other tank. Was one of my first premiums and part of my learn-the-game -campaign. Rarely play it anymore though, but it's still one of my most played tanks.

Revalorise - The tank that disappoints new players most. It's often referred as a very good credit maker... which it is when you get used to it. The gun has a french factor in it throwing the shells to where ever you did not aim them, the pen isn't the greatest either. BUT it has good depression, apcr standard shells with good velocity, cheap ammo and 390 alpha. If you can make those work, you'll do wonders in this tank. It took me a while to get into it, but nowadays it's one of my favourite premium tanks out there.

Lorraine 40t is the best medium tank. It can hold on its own. Speed, autoloader, low armor so that those gold spammers just waste their credits on you.

If you like Chinese medium tanks,

the duo of Type 59 and T-34-3 makes for some nice crew training :)

Add the 59-Patton to that shortlist - a really nice jack-of-all-trades

Own both and for some reason I cant make them work. Either its my Chinese kryptonite or just a matter of playing them more and getting a hang of them better.

Well, I don't own every tank on the list. But from my owned list.. there are a few hidden gems and fun tanks in there for sure.

For me on income T26E4 is still rather good. Flaws aside it still has 192 pen. Same as the +2 MM US tier 8 meds. And more gold pen then anyone of them if you really need it.

Forgiving for new players. I would say the T-34-85M ofc. Tho I've not played mine since the marathon. As I got mine before the pen buff etc. T28E with F-30. As in a support role, they won't feel that useless with that gun.

Great crew trainers? Cromwell B ofc. T-34-85M, Rudy, 42-57, even the AC-4 . The issue I have with the higher tiers even tho their crew layout fits most crews. Is that tier 8 meds are generally worse tier for tier than most meds. So personally I like the mid-tiers more for a more consistent xp performance.

Meme tank: Großtraktor. I bought this when it faced tier 5 and I still thought it was funny. It never got old cathing a distracted O-I Exp that ignored you "cus just a tier III". And you slammed a few 100+ damage roll HEAT rounds up it's rear end. Or the HE derp when top tier. AP is a waste of time on it tho.

But shoutout to the Matilda IV tho. It was the only Russian med crew trainer for years. So it's trained a fair bit for me across the almost 6 years I've owned it. I have 665 battles in it. 3 MOE'd it on the last crew I trained in it. It still pulls it's own weight with a 75% crew or a 3 skilled crew. It's def the easiest one to get a base crew started on IMO. As you don't feel the new crew drags your tank down. Like they do on the Progetto. And def the Chi-Nu Kai.

Not much love for STA-2... I'd like something similar, but a little less extreme than CDC. Would it deliver?

T-34-85M - Great Tier 6 medium. Can't go wrong with it, unless RNG hates you (like in my case)

T-34-3 - Not competitive, but 390 alpha vs Tier 6 tanks is a meme. Especially since its on a medium tank with a fully traversable turret.

Type 59 - A typical Tier 8 medium but with PMM. A decent tank overall

Progetto M35 Mod 1 - Extremely versatile and borderline OP. Almost as good single shot DPM as other meds but with an autoreloader.

Lorraine 40t - Highest silver pen amongst Tier 8 mediums and a powerful autoloader to boot
