I just noticed that IS3 model is aprox 25% shorter in height than panther.

In reality they were about same height, ony a few cm difference.

54cm is not "a few"... IS-3 is 2.45m tall, Panther is 2.99m tall. Panther is around 20% taller than IS-3!

To be fair. tanks like T-22 could not even fit humans inside it. but yeh conrad lets add it to game with overbuffed stats and somehow fires the gun.... with a crew..that cant fit inside it historically.

English Wikipedia. German Wikipedia says 2.45m, which would match the 8 feet I've seen in some other sources.

Maybe the higher values are including a machine-gun on top of the turret.

British tanks were pretty small too.

German tanks sometimes went with bigger is better I mean they took the Panther which was pretty big as ww2 medium tanks go reduced the armour put on a smaller turret and called it a light tank. The Aufklarungspanzer Panther that used to be in the game.

Having produced the E100 and Maus as prototypes they were considering making the Ratte supposedly that would have been 11m tall.

Lot of different panthers produced so some differences the Panther G was 2.99m high while the IS3 was indeed 2.45m.

I sold my Panther but the Stock turret is marked in the game as type G not sure if the top turret is taller.

Maybe the discrepancy is because the IS-3 also already had hydraulic suspension in 1945, I mean we all know it was a great tank that fought in many many wars which was completely invulnerable to all incoming fire and had sidearm our which would absorb artillery shells in real life.

What?.......you mean to tell me World of Tanks is not realistic and Russian tanks are under-tiered to be competitive?

Even 90 has a crew of 3 while the real one could only fit 2.....

Crew Training reasons... we don't have historical armor values either, because the game would be horribly unbalanced.

Still waiting for them centurion buffs that make them eat T-54's for breakfast. you know just like real life when the 20 pounder was one of the most lethal weapons at its time and not some pissy noodle gun WG implemented it as.

That may indeed consider the AA gun.

Same for the italian version. But I see that 2.73m is listed as IS-2 height, so that may also be a mistake of the english version.

Its a well know fact that russians have extremely small thingys, tanks are just to scale, GG to the Japaneses and Germans.
