So WoT is often buggy. However now i have this bug that i can only play WoT for 1 session after downloading it again, if i exit the game i will never get into it again. I downloaded the entire game again yday, now i need to delete again. Cause i run the launcher, it checks for updates. All ok, play game... Nothing happens, in task manager i can se the world of tanks process is open. But nothing is happening but freezing my system for 10 seconds at a time. It will remain in process tab untill i force it to stop, it then proceeds to freeze my computer from 2-5minutes. Allways happens. Only fix for this is too delete game and download again. But i cannot do this forever, quite boring to spend 70% of your game time trying to get the game to launch. I have no mods, i have given up those.

While writing this with WoT in process tab i got about 8x 10seconds freezes, and im not a slow typer... :(

Have you tried launching in safe mode and also carrying out integrity check?

Yes, launching in safe mode does nothing. Exactly same happens, i have run integrity checks too, but to not avail. Reset graphics i did aswell.

Tried all the "recommended" steps WG gave in their guide, im usualy quite compitent pc guy but this has me stuck in the mud

Remember a whiles back some were saying Steam overlay, or similar, was causing them problems...

Do you have some processes running in background, have you tried to kill them to see if it makes any difference.

GL with your problems...

If you actually were, you would have posted useful details. Not some anecdotal style story. If a clean install does not fix the issue, the root cause clearly is with your system. If you were able to play without issues before, think long and hard on what you've changed recently.

If i had any details but what i gave i would. No crash log no nothing.  System is fine, nothing has changed. I play other games just fine, temperatures are fine. Everything is watercooled. All stability tests are golden.

I play Ark pretty much all day long without any issues, aswell as various other games.

Since i buildt this computer its only been restarted like every 3 months, very stable. Never any crashes or trouble, use minimal amount of programs as i hate clutter.

Might be hardware issue i do not know. I run Asus Formula 9 Mobo, I7 7700k, Corsair 4x 16 GB ram sticks at 3200mhz and a Aorus Geforce 1080 Ti.

All that changed was that WoT updated to a new patch and i could not play anymore.

I have been using Steam and nVidia overlay for ages...no problems so far.

So how do you go three months with no reboot?

Did you block Windows update in your firewall or something?

I use a handy tool called Win10Privacy. To get rid of those forced updates, better to update when i have the time. And you can disable alot of the spy buisness they do on your computer :)

Hmmm....

I'm guessing your tin foil hat is on a bit too tight.

Delaying critical security updates is not a good security practice at all.  Besides that, you've provided little insight to the problems of your PC.  The game works fine for thousands of us and I don't think that anyone who has a problem with the game has to download a new copy each time to fix it.  What event log messages are present in relation to the crash of WoT?  What popup messages, if any, appear when WoT crashes?

Have you opened a support ticket with WG?  Try this article and let us know what you discover:  https://eu.wargaming.net/support/en/products/wot/article/10251/

I suspect the fresh install fixes part of Windows which this "privacy" tool breaks, then the privacy tool goes and breaks it again.  Exactly what I can't say.

Maybe the wgcheck tool can spot it.  Have you tried opening a ticket about it?

Win 10's security updates often update .NET Frameworks which WoT require, so my guess would be that, but there also was an update a month or two ago that fixed a problem which caused issues with Chrome on some devices and since  WoT use Chromium as it's "built in" browser which basically just is an open source version of Chrome that might also be an issue. Oh and I would never install/use a third-party tool like that for something I can just tweak my self, that's just asking for trouble at best but most of the time it's just malware....

From the Win10Privacy page:   "W10Privacy is certainly no programming masterpiece, but meets my envisaged purpose. The software is still in an early development phase"

Running an early version of an application that directly modifies the Windows registry and system files is not recommended.  I think the tin foil hat is on a bit too tight.  Software like this is dangerous and can easily lead to an unstable OS.

Can't say much about Win10, but there actually is fairly logical need to restarting Win OS systems ever so often (iirc official recommendation from Microsoft itself is at least once a week). Also, what do you need 4x RAM sticks for on a dual channel system? Even 16 GB in total (2 * 8 GB) is sufficient practically all the time, otherwise 32 GB will do fine. But I digress...

I strongly doubt nothing has changed on your system besides the WoT patch, so start there. Any Win 10 updates installed recently? Where do you have WoT installed? SSD, same disk as Win OS, 'Program Files' folder? Upon re-install, do you also completely remove the Wargaming folder in '..\AppData\Roaming\'? What anti-virus and/or anti-malware do you use? As my first guess is file corruption.

Edit: Missed that bit about Win10PrivacyTool. Now file corruption is not only my first, but best guess.

Ah yes, also worth checking. WoT seems to be quite sensitive about .NET Frameworks.

Launcher updated something very quick today, have not tried to play WoT for a few days. Suddenly WoT started like nothing has happend. Not deleted game since i last tried, not changed anything. Not even restarted pc. Wierd.

Win10Privacy is just a tool to easy block connections without doing it manually. You can se the code and se there is no malicious content.. I have alot of pcs so this saves time. And i have multiple friends and collegues that use it.

Tin foil hat? What? Just cause i prefer too choose what information that is collected on me? And updates that often restart your comp and leave it disabled for hours in moments you need your computer? From my POV one must be stupid not to have it, or disabled it manually.

As for my RAM, i could so i did.. Simple. I altso have a watercooling system that can handle 5.2ghz(the max the chip can handle), but rarely run it over 4.5ghz. I have a 34 inch ASUS ROG 21:9 screen, with 100 hertz refresh rate. However the main game im playing, i rarely get over 70fps so monitor is kinda waste. I have a 246 horsepower car, but rarely drive it above 100 km/h... What can i say, i like to waste money? Alot of wierd offtopic stuff going on.
