Considering they have done that on large channels on twitch and youtube for the past 4 years. I don't see the issue. Or is suddenly odd when they do it now all things considering?

I think they meant the image, not the stats that have been dropping as they clearly got.

We understand that part.  It's your OP which has us scratching our heads.

I guess it's obvious to streaming nerds but I personally prefer to watch paint dry.

OK lets put it plain and simple to those that cannot understand what the OP is on about..

As you can see by the graphs the players are leaving in droves ...And not only that..the players (NEW) are not actually coming to try this game out too much??? HMMMM!! wonder why?? (Fochgate mabye?...mabye this games reputation for p2w??)....The internet is a wonderful thing dont you think??...Lots of info if you look for it.

And rather than fix/balance their game which in return would mabye keep players/Return old players they actually seek to pay Twitch streamers cold hard cash to try stem the 'Inevitable' loss of players..

PS 2 nights ago i saw Sacriel (He plays Post scriptum atm) playing WOT #Sponsored...(Yes!! He was the guy playing the Lowe in the med positions)...the chat was trying to help him (Most X-Wot players LOL)...

...so the OP,s point might be??...Rather than fix this game to keep players?.. they would rather pay players to try to do it for them??? (Gotta laaaaf)

As there is a World Cup every four years perhaps the graph should cover a four year cycle? I mean, don't we see this every time there is a big world event on, such as the Olympics, people are watching TV.

During winter olympics, no. During summer olympics, no. During European Championship in football, no.

This is the largest drop in players this game has ever seen.

Well.. there was a drop 4 years ago too. New player accounts have been on the drop for 2 years or so. But lets be honest, we all know most of those were alt accounts anyway. Could be that the RU server got bored of us for all we know. The daily login drop did start before the cup. But right before the first heat wave hit. Though the odd thing is... that peak numbers are higher then most days vs last year still. So I guess the core group is still here, and it's affecting the casual players that only play for a bit a day more then anything. We see drops each year before the summer. But if it goes up once the bad weather comes back remains to be seen.

I'm sure 3-5-7 is the cause for some. But I doubt it's the soul reason for the drop as a whole. As you see when you read the forum here. The people that are here daily complain about different things, vs those that play a few times a month etc.

And it started before the cup. Tho if you recall last year, we had server issues every time there was a bike race on for Tour de France. As 90% live streamed it, and traffic spiked all over. That's the only time I recall such events affected the game if you will.

So that was the reason why they created winter versions of Himmelsdorf and Ruinberg!

I know plenty of people irl that love gaming, but not a single one of them plays this game.  They all know it exists though, with varying levels of negative views of it, seemingly based upon and proportional to their experience with actually playing it.  You freaks are the only people I communicate with that play this game.

It's a grind game. And at this point, getting new mates to play is borderline impossible. As if they have one or two grind games going. They don't want a 3rd. It's why so many here did not care for WOWS or WOWS. Or even AW etc. Grinding up to get top tiers.... again.

from the people i know who dont play it, its not the grind thats stopping them, its WG. They are now looked at as a company who will dump on you from a very great height as soon as they can.

Well, they made 3-5-7 to milk players out of their credits and slow down the progression but they forgot that it's not fun being underdog all the time (it's good to have variety - carrying games as top tier is as much exhausting as being bottom tier).

Getting owned by +2 tier tanks is stimulating for new players because they want tanks that destroy them - but this works only in moderation.

"Carrot and a stick" always worked great for WoT but now we are getting only the stick and WG thinks they can compensate for the carrot with marketing. I just hope they will realize this doesn't work before it's too late. WoT is too big to fall (just like WoW) but smaller players numbers are bad for players - WoT always relied on big player numbers to get income. If there is less players, it's obvious what will happen to keep steady/increasing income: milking intensifies.
