A worldwide conspiracy to convince us the Earths a globe, makes a change from the usual WoT match rigging stuff I suppose.

Block Quote

The evidence for a flat earth is derived from many different facets of science and philosophy. The simplest is by relying on ones own senses

That is very scientific for sure:teethhappy:

Flat Earthers just can't get their heads around the force of gravity. You can see them on Youtube holding model helicopters and planes to the bottom of globes and earnestly asking the viewer how anything can take off upside down.

Here I was thinking that stuff like this was something just the average American discussed, I guess I've been to naive, education seems to start failing over here as well, sad, so very sad, as Drumpf would say.

Flat earth and hollow earth theories are a goverment cover ups to disguise the fact that the earth is actually a sphere shaped object.

It would cause a massive loss in government credibility if science turned out to be right.

I mean if they were right about the shape of the planet, God knows they might be right about inconveniant things like climate change, gravity and all those complicated things that make people's brain hurt.

We can't have that, now can we?

But what does this actually has to do with World of Tanks gameplay?:amazed:

That's AWESOME! There's just a few problems with your invitation.

1) It's not a discussion.

2) It's not a discovery.

3) It's not the truth.

4) You have no idea what people knew or thought hundreds of years ago, the idea that the Earth is spherical has been around for 26 centuries and first correctly estimated in the 3rd century BC. The earth was first circumnavigated in the 16th century, and these days you can hop on a plane and circumnavigate the earth easily, a feat that would be impossible if it was flat. People hundreds of years ago, knew that you are wrong.

Nothing.

But now that we are investigating the realms of nonsense and self-delusion, have you heard the good news of our lord and saviour?

Love flat earthers me.  I look at them the same way as I look at Religion.  With complete contempt.

In before lock

One of my pet peeves; i could go on a *very* long rant about flattards, but it's bad for my blood pressure, so i'll keep to following things:

Flattards are a danger to society because not only they tend to be into other conspiracies, they also tend to be religious fanatics; the kind that wants creationism as an alternative to evolution taught in schools, the kind that wants religious symbols (the cross) and prayer be mandatory in state schools.  They basically want sharia law (or the christian equivalent) to supersede our current laws.

If you consider that flattards are already approx 2% of USA (nobody knows for rest of world) , which means there are more flattards than NRA members.  If you consider how powerful the NRA is in 'murica, just imagine what the flattards could achieve if they got organised.

But most triggering of all: they tend to perpetuate stupidity since a lot of them home school their children... as if THAT will give those poor kids a real headstart in life. I consider it cruelty to children.

We can only hope that next time Elon Musk needs some cargo/ballast in one of his rockets, that he invites some of the "leading" flattards on that trip.  That way they can discuss all the way up to eternity that the view they get through the porthole is "all just cgi".

Anyways, it could be worse... there could be an abundance of screetching purple haired SJW flattards... luckily those are still a minority.

I think we should crowd fund the construction of a Penal Colony on Luna specifically for Flattards.

Non-sense thread closed.

If you were to say that some maps are flat, it will still be passable but this... :harp:
